Still factory sealed. Very rare and probably the only known model kit in any scale of this early Soviet Union jet. Very well molded kit with very fine recessed panel lines. The Yakovlev Yak-19 was a prototype Soviet fighter built in late 1940s. It was the first Soviet aircraft to be equipped with an afterburning turbojet, the Klimov RD-10F that was derived from the German Jumo 004 engine. Only two examples were built. The first prototype was ordered to a very demanding schedule and was completed on 29 November 1946. During the manufacturer's flight tests, the Yak-19 became the first Soviet aircraft to exceed 900 km/h. Major Sergei Anokhin was the primary test pilot and reported that the aircraft had pleasant and predictable flying characteristics and presented no difficulties for the average pilot. Before the testing was completed, Anokhin led the jets participating in the fly-past at Tushino Airfield on August 3, 1947. State acceptance tests began on 17 October, using the second prototype and did not go nearly as well. Trials finished on 30 January 1948 and the group of military test pilots concluded that the afterburner was unreliable, the aircraft was difficult to control in roll, the cockpit was deemed was too small and lacked sufficient armor and heating / ventilation. In the end, the Yak-19 was not be recommended for service. Rather than modify the aircraft to address these problems, Yakovlev chose to cancel it entirely in favor of the Yak-23 and Yak-25 fighters now under design/development.

This is a fine model molded in dark blue, light blue, white & black and features a very nice chassis with detailed engine, tilt-forward cab with horn and side view mirrors, interior, driver figure, rolling wheels, trailer that disconnected from the tractor, opening rear trailer doors and a furniture load consisting of a table, piano, fridge, two seats and a sofa. Early 1970s issue of this famous kit in the YMBC release. It is in the original white 'mailer' box with the factory-glued lithograph 'slick' in 'excellent' condition. Features a one-piece full hull, propeller and rudder detail, rotating turrets, separately molded and positionable 5" secondary battery and quad 40mm AA battery, two float planes and catapults, display stand, name plate and decals. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. I have good memories of this model - because of the one piece hull, it floated very well. That and the "good" detail made it an ideal platform for BB gun target practice on my friends lake.

From about 1967. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro had an excellent line of well (and not-so-well) known life-sized scale pistol and rifle models in their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model is based on the copy in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing internal metal spring for trigger, (2) #18 dummy screws (easily replaced) and #12, the flint. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts including instructions.

1955 issue with great box art. This was Monogram's 8th plastic aircraft kit and sported the fine fit and finish that they became famous for. This model has the correct black rubber tires is the second issue; the only difference from the first issue is the "PA" vs. "P" part number. Features rotating propellers, optional retracted or 'landing' position floats, two torpedoes and crew members. Molded in the correct bright gloss dark blue (I have seen it in silver too) and clear with the early black rubber tires. The kit has never been started.
