Very rare first hardbox issue and even rarer in this condition. It is a one-owner kit that was purchased new on March 25, 1960 in Lexington, KY and then never touched beyond a quick inspection. Nicely molded and detailed kit for that time. The model can be built stock or with any combination of options such as continental kit, tachometer, floor shift, fender skirts, lake pipes, hood scoop, louvers, aerial, spotlight, fender mirrors, moon disks, exhaust extensions, decals and more. Molded in ivory white, clear, red-tint clear, chrome and black rubber whitewall tires. Chrome and windshield are 'excellent' for this model and there are no tire burns. 1958 dated 'S' hardbox with unique artwork. This the rare issue with just the M4 tractor. This large (1/48) scale model is well molded and detailed for that time featuring driver and radio operator, interior, working drive wheels and flexible treads a machine gun that elevates and rotates. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. The box has very good color and gloss and four solid corners but has extensive creasing as shown on the right side of the box top. Hence the lower grade of 'good.'

The box top has a unique perforated 'signed' picture of Redford that can be 'detached and framed'. Inside, the kit is the large 1/28 'S' issue with detailed rotary engine the moves with the prop, authentic fine fabric texture finish over ribs, complete cockpit with movable control stick and rudder bar, removable cowling, pilot and crew figures, rigging instructions, correct Waldo Pepper decals (with USA 'N' registration numbers) and instructions.
