Rare kit from 1942. This is a scale, solid wood kit. It features balsa wood main parts, small parts printed on very heavy cardstock, cardboard templates, color insignia and full size plans with more templates and construction notes. A typical kit forthat time - very simple and requires serious carving and shaping skills. Complete and never started. Marvel was a popular manufacture with a large line of army vehicles, tanks of all nations, aircraft and more.

Very rare 1940s wartime 'Spotter Model' in the 'National Defense Model Series.' Strombecker specifically made this line of 1/72 scale kits to fit the 'Official National Spotter or Recognition Program' for civilians and the armed forces for training and identification. This is a high quality, highly prefabricated kit of western pine hardwood. The parts are almost completely carved - only final sanding is needed! Includes perfectly carved and smooth fuselage, perfect and completely finished engine nacelles, wings cut and carved to shape including airfoil, all other parts cut to shape (and many of them completely finished), a factory sealed envelope including the smaller parts, full color insignia sheet, Strombecker Model Makers Club Application Form, CASCO glue, two types of sandpaper, color "How To Win The War" sheet and extensive & detailed assembly instructions. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes insignia and instructions.

This is an above-average kit from the 1945. Features a very nice profile cut fuselage, profile cut wings, printwood for other wooden parts, finished wheels, metal and wood stock, an excellent cardstock sheet with wheel covers and many constructions aids:, nose jig, dihedral jig, wing jig, rudder jig and stabilizer jig...and even an alignment stick to mount them on. There is a full insignia sheet for this aircraft and the plans are exceptional. They include three view drawings, exploded view, many wing, tail and fuselage cross sections, illustrated building instructions, text instructions and a history of the aircraft. Little is known about Cadet Aeronautics. The address was given as Trenton, N.J and it was a 'Division of Winner Engineering Corp.' There were at least 6 kits in the 1/72 WWII single engine line: F1 Republic Thunderbolt, F2 Grumman Hellcat, F3 Focke-Wulf 190, F4 Hawker Typhoon, F5 Supermarine Spitfire and F6 North American Mustang. There could have been other lines as well.

Original 1958 dated 'S' issue hardbox with dramatic box art. Not the common reissue. The box is in amazing investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition with exceptional as-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or tape marks (with the exception of the factory sealing tape), no fading, rips or tears. Flaws include very light wear and the original price tag (from 'KINGS' department store for $1.22) on the left short side panel. This model has many action features - the removable missiles has a separating booster stage, an operating launcher, three man crew and more. Molded in the correct white and olive drab plastic. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.
