Large 1/72 scale VC10 C1 is the only big non-tanker version of this famous and dependable aircraft. Nicely molded with fine recessed panel lines and better detail than many injection molded models. Includes injection molded struts, molded clear front cockpit windows as well as extensive instructions and plans and a very large decal sheet. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The C1 was the first VC10 version used by the RAF. The following history is from Wikipedia: The first RAF aircraft, designated VC10 C Mk. 1, often abbreviated to VC10 C1, was delivered for testing on 26 November 1965; deliveries to No. 10 Squadron began in December 1966 and ended in August 1968. The VC10s were named after Victoria Cross (VC) medal holders, and were displayed above the forward passenger door. During the 1960s, the VC10s of No. 10 Squadron operated two regular routes, one to the Far East to Singapore and Hong Kong, and the other to New York. By 1970, roughly 10,000 passengers and 730,000 lb of freight were being carried monthly by the VC10 fleet. In addition to the strategic transport role, the VC10 routinely served in the aeromedical evacuation and VIP roles. In the VIP role, the aircraft was commonly used by members of the British Royal family, such as during Elizabeth II's bicentennial tour of America and by several British Prime Ministers. Margaret Thatcher reportedly insisted on flying by VC10. The aircraft proved capable of being flown non-stop by two flight crews, enabling several round-the-world flights. One such VC10 circumnavigated the globe in less than 48 hours.

From the early 1960s and includes both models. The Avro was one of the first British aircraft and the Curtiss Golden Flyer was the Speed Trophy winner at Reims in France. These are unique and accurate kits. The original internal frame structure and details of the aircraft is built from injection molded plastic. When complete, it is covered with a very strong fabric which is included. The result is a realistic aircraft. The kits have never been started. Both are still in the factory sealed bag. Covering material and glue are included, but the glue as naturally dried up. It was simply a thinned liquid plastic model cement, so you can easily replace it with the modern version if you wish to build the model.

Still factory sealed. Very nicely detailed large 1/6 scale model. Features nine cylinders, crankcase, carburetor with sliding valve, accessory drive gears, oil pump, magneto and more The 80 hp Le Rhone was developed before WWI and was used in many early aircraft. It did see service early in the Great War and it's follow on, the 110 hp Le Rhone was used in larger aircraft. The crankshaft of the Le Rhone mounted directly to the firewall and was part of the air and fuel intake system. The crankcase, propeller shaft and cylinders all revolved at about 1200 rpm. These three assemblies were carefully balanced to reduce vibration.

One of a very popular line of late 1960/early 1970s World War 1 flying stick and tissue aircraft kits with 18 inch wingspan. Features scale plastic wheels, plastic propeller, light vacuform nose cowl, die cut balsa parts, colored tissue, rubber motor and full decals. Includes full size, detailed plans. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

The Heyford was the last big biplane bomber to serve with the RAF and equipped 11 First-Line Squadrons at the time. The prototype first few in 1930 and had many novel features such as retractable ventral turret and the wing attached to the underside of the top wing for excellent visibility. It was soon nicknamed 'Express Bomber' due to it's ability to carry a large bomb load, fly at high speeds and be rapidly re-armed, serviced and repaired. Has parts and decals for all three variants from 102(B) RAF Sq. 1938, No. 99 Sq 1934 and No. 7(B) Sq. 1935. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.
