Second issue hardbox dated 1957. An excellent kit with finely molded detail and excellent fit. Features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels and props, three man crew, optional position door and two survivors in life rafts. NOTE: this kit has minor and very neatly done subassembly as follows: drop tanks assembled; side windows to fuselage halves. There is no other assembly. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Albatross was the primary sea rescue aircraft of the Aerospace Rescue and Recovery Service, a branch of MAC - Military Airlift Command. Operational service began in 1947 and Hu-16s saw wartime action in Vietnam. The first issue is P20 and the second is PA20; the 'P' designation lasted less than a year.

This kit is from Airfix molds and is one of the MPC '3 Big Bonus' features series. Dates from the late 1960s/early 1970s. The model features customizing parts (such as chrome plated bombs, missiles, prop, exhaust, air scoops, antenna and guns), stock and customizing decals and the clear modular display stand. Note that this issue still has 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models. This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

1963 release of this wonderful and well-engineered kit. This model is one of famous Darryl Starbird's famous Monogram 'Custom Kits' with numerous building possibilities. There are 130 parts molded in bright red (car body & related), white, clear, chrome plated and with rubber tires. Features parts to build a stock convertible, stock hardtop, custom continental hardtop with bullet headlights and a futuristic Bubble Top (clear) with Bucket Seat and console. Includes white walls, Lake Pipes, rear seat TV, Custom Grills, center console with short shift, custom and stock decal sheet and many more options. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions both in 'excellent' condition. The box displays slightly higher than the 'very good' grade but is rated as such because there are short (about 1" long) pieces of masking tape on both long sides.
