Big 'A' logo issue is dated 1972 and this is likely the fourth issue of this kit. In the late 1960s Aurora realized that the older molds were out of date and modelers were demanding more realism. They made a new set of molds for ships, airplanes and helicopters. These were significant improvements as the new molds were on par with current offerings. This Cobra kit is one of the improved models. Features full cockpit, pilot and copilot figures, rotating main and rear rotors and optional weapons load of miniguns or rocket pods. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Very large 1/8 scale model that measures 22 inches long when assembled. Nicely detailed and well molded kit. Features complete 327 CID Fuel Injection engine and detailed engine compartment, opening hood, exhaust, suspension and chassis detail, steerable front wheels, complete interior, headlights that open and close and more. Molded in bright gloss red, black, clear and chrome and with real rubber tires. The clear and chrome are both in amazing 'excellent+++' condition. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one small part, the gooseneck (thermostat housing, #10). Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present. With decals and instructions. NOTE: there is a perfectly closed crack on the very rear body panel about 2 inches long at tail lights (passenger side). The crack is completely closed and fits together perfectly; I have added bubble wrap to the rear of the car to protect it during shipping.

Lumba-Lumba means 'porpoises' in Malay. This ship was commissioned by Caltex Pacific Oil Company in 1961 to speed personnel and freight from Sumatra to Singapore. Unique design for R/C that can use one or two engines. This kit came from a very particular collector. Inside, it has never been started and everything is just as it was packed at the factory. The small parts are still factory sealed and it includes all paperwork. Carl Goldberg was a gifted designer of model aircraft, and his career spanned the evolution of flying models. His designs and number of titles won in competition at the Nationals is legendary. His first competition was the 1928 Nationals, where he received honorable mention. By 1934 he won the indoor Nats and in 1935 he opened a Hobby Shop, among the first in the nation (the first one was probably opened by Cleveland Models Ed Packard). Awards came quickly. He wrote articles for Model Airplane News, and was Comet's top designer from 1939 till 1945. After Comet, he worked with Mike Schlesinger and Sid Axelrod on what eventually became Top-Flite Models. In 1955 he founded Carl Goldberg Models and released a still-popular line of scale, rubber, gas, glider and RC models. Needless to say, Goldberg's models are of the highest quality.
