1968 issue hardbox. The legend is true; these molds were lost and/or destroyed in a train wreck. Monogram bought Aurora's molds and was transporting them to the Monogram factory when the accident happened. This model features recessed panel lines, full interior with rear bulkhead, couch, chairs and console, cockpit with chairs, instrument panel, control yokes, forward bulkhead and clear windows. Includes optional position landing gear and colorful decals. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Jet Commander was the jet-powered follow-on to the famous Aero Commander twin private aircraft. But shortly after 1121 delivery began in 1965, Rockwell bought Aero Commander. The 1121 was competition for the Rockwell Sabreliner business jet in the same class, so Rockwell sold the Jet Commander to IAI. Famous nicknames assigned to the early 1121s included the familiar 'ground pounder', 'lead sled' and more unique 'Jet Commode'. Initial releases under IAI were called the 1123. Improvements to the 1123 design lead to the IAI 1124 Westwind powered by Garrett 731 fan engines. I won't recount here all of the nicknames for the IAI Jet Commanders...but the most printable include "Bagel Bomber" and "Yom Kippur Clipper."

Late 1950s or early 1960s Post Cereal Premium manufactured by Lindberg. Post called this the "World Jet Airliners" Series and for one Raisin Bran or Grape Nuts box top and 25 cents you had your choice of a TWA Convair 880, Pan Am Boeing 707, Air France Caravelle, Russian Tu-104, British BOAC Comet or Douglas DC-8 Delta Airlines. These are all quality small scale kits with very good detail for that time, full landing gear, display stand and full color decals. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and the correct Post instructions with additional kit order form.

Still factory sealed and very rare in this condition. Large parasol free flight model designed for .049 power by one of the most famous pioneers and leaders in model aviation. Features all die cut balsa sheet wood and plywood parts, fully formed trailing edges, formed wire landing gear, finished wheel, hardware, covering tissue and excellent instructions and plans. Carl Goldberg was a gifted designer of model aircraft, and his career spanned the evolution of flying models. His designs and number of titles won in competition at the Nationals is legendary. His first competition was the 1928 Nationals, where he received honorable mention. By 1934 he won the indoor Nats and in 1935 he opened a Hobby Shop, among the first in the nation (the first one was probably opened by Cleveland Models Ed Packard). Awards came quickly. He wrote articles for Model Airplane News, and was Comet's top designer from 1939 till 1945. After Comet, he worked with Mike Schlesinger and Sid Axelrod on what eventually became Top-Flite Models. In 1955 he founded Carl Goldberg Models and released a still-popular line of scale, rubber, gas, glider and RC models.

It features see-through cabin with die-cut 1/8 plywood cabin sides, shaped and notched leading and trailing edges, clearly die-cut parts that fit, ClarK Y wing section, coil-spring hose gear, formed main gear, complete full-size plans, step by step instructions and more. Very nicely molded and detailed model with 116 parts. Features all fine recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit, rotating turrets, separately molded elevators and markings for two aircraft. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Do-24 was being built in Holland under license. When the Germans invaded, they found 3 done and 25 in various states of completion. The Air Ministry was looking for aircraft suitable to salvage sunk aircraft, and the Do-24 fit the bill. The American Wright engines were removed and BMWs installed. The Do-24 went on to see successful service in WWII as recon, supply and ambulance aircraft. A squadron was supplied to Spain, and one Do-24 remained operational until 1970.

This large 1/8 scale model features the optional high horsepower hood that opens and closes, removable 'T Tops', fully detailed engine and engine compartment, full front and rear suspension, complete exhaust, full interior and more. Includes optional parts (front and rear air effects and decals) for the '78 Indy Pace Car. Molded in gloss orange, black, light tan (interior), chrome, clear, red tint clear and with rubber tires. The chrome and clear parts are in 'excellent' condition. The kit has never been started. The very small parts are still in the factory sealed bag. All other parts have been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: this gloss plastic cracks easily and there are three sections broke from the back of the car: two are on the rear 1/4 panel behind the rear wheel; the other one is on the back deck behind the rear window. All three pieces are present and they fit back perfectly with no gaps for a straight-forward repair.

This kit was anufactured in Belgium by Precision Models. They produced mostly German subjects, diorama parts and some figures. Jean-Pierre Dirkx was the founder and made many of the masters for Francois Verlinden.

Still factory sealed. From 1991 and a beautiful and detailed model of this early Fortress. Molded with all fine recessed panel lines and features excellent cockpit detail, rotating propellers and wheels, bomb bay detail, full bomb load and optional position doors and more. Dusty Rhodes was doing box art research and discovered that the painting for this kit represents the Good Will flight from Langley to Rio de Janeiro in November of 1938. The future SAC leader, Curtis LeMay, was on this flight as the lead navigator as a lowly First Lieutenant.

Rare, small-scale Sanwa issue from the early 1960s. The airplane is molded in green and clear and the 'V' stand is molded in blue. The kit has never been started. Inside it is in 'factory new' condition. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Sanwa was one of Japan's earliest post-WWII kit producers, making model kits in the 1950s; some sources say 1955. Kits were marketed under Sanwa and Tokyo Plamo, with the general consensus being the the later logo came out around 1960 or later. Production ended in 1964, making all Sanwa kits rare and collectible. The entire line was extensive. It included very small scale tanks (some that were motorized), battleships in three scales with the larger ones motorized with dual prop drive, slot cars, civil sport boats and an electric outboard, a full line of hand gun models that actually shot plastic bullets, two fighter groups and bomber groups (probably Monogram), several different lines of scale aircraft, missile kits, scale (static) car models of early Japanese automobiles, at least 7 flying model aircraft that had electric and rubber motors, a 'Super Control Stand' P-51 that move with a joystick and had an electric propeller and sound unit, two different lighthouses and a windmill, an air cushion boat, motor cycles, a diving submarine (electric) and a working (rubber band) George Washington Class SSBN and even a garden tractor with an electric motor.
