U-99 German U-Boat (Type VIIB) WWII VG Injection Molded old | ||
| 1982 issue. Measures over 20 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals, flags and instructions. Flags have minor bug damage to the edges of the sheet. U-99 was one of the most active and successful early boats under the command of Otto Kretschmer. She survived 7 active patrols but was sunk on the 8th patrol on March 17, 1941. 40 of the crew survived the sinking, including Kretschmer, who accounted for the greatest tonnage of shipping sunk by any commander in WWII. | |||

Pratt & Whitney Wasp R-1340 Radial Aircraft Engine and Display Stand Exc++ Injection Molded old | ||
| 1970s issue. Very highly detailed kit with over 200 parts. Large 1/8 scale. Complete engine includes crankcase, cylinders, pushrods housings, propeller hub, accessory section, carburetor and fuel system, vinyl wires for the distributor blocks and dual ignition system and more. A name plate label is included with a Pratt & Whitney logo decal. A scale engine mount is furnished with the kit and the optional Display Unit is also included and is still factory sealed. The engine kit itself has not been started. All of the parts are still in the factory sealed bags with decals and instructions. This engine was P&Ws first aircraft engine and the original purchaser was the US Navy in 1926. The Wasp went on to find world-wide fame in over 50 aircraft. The Boeing 247, P-12, F4B-4, Curtiss F6C-4 Hawk, F8C-5 Helldiver, Douglas Dolphin, Ford Trimotor (some versions), Gee Bee racers, Lockheed Orion, Sirius, Vega, Sikorsky S-38 are just a few. Some were manufactured under license by other companies including BMW in Germany. | |||

| Rare and possibly the only kit of this subject. Includes 5 pages of scale line drawings with details, as well as an entire 7 page article on the Keystone Bombers by Peter M. Bowers. This article includes numerous photographs and a history. The kit is drape vacuform molded. It has not been started and is complete. NOTE: ONeil kits are very basic and are for the very advanced modeler only. This kit is typical, as it comes with the basic airframe components. No other parts are furnished. Molding has only the detail of the ribs under fabric. | |||

NOTE: the backing paper of the decals has damage on a small area where it was once stuck to the instructions. The actual transfers have no damage. | 1963 issue from ex-Comet molds. The box is in stunning 'Near Mint++' investment-grade condition with amazing color and gloss. Neatly molded with all recessed panel lines, clear side and front windows, tip tanks, rotating propellers, display stand and full pinstripe decals. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Aurora had started a line of inexpensive 29 cent kits in about 1957. The line was a success, and it was expanded. The line grew again when Aurora purchased the Comet molds, as most of Comet's line was very small scale kits, many of them civil aircraft like this one. It appears that Aurora was encouraged by the sale of the ex-Comet civil aircraft, as it expanded the line with it's own molds in the early 1960s. | |||

Inside it is like new with all parts and paperwork still sealed in the internal factory sealed bag. | |||
