Rare, true second issue from 1955. Few people (including me) knew that there was a second release of P6-98 that varied significantly from the first issue. The first issue has a part number of 'P6-98', early '4 star' rectangle logo, black rubber main gear tires and no support peg to keep it from being a 'tail sitter' when assembled. The second issue (this kit) has the same part number, logo but has regular injection molded (silver) tires and a peg to keep the nose gear grounded. The instructions show these changes are are numbered P6, as are the decals. Molded in correct gloss silver and clear plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Small scale ship kit from the Table Top Navy series. These were very nicely designed and detailed kits for their time. Can be built full hull or waterline and features propeller and shaft detail, separately molded turrets, stacks, many superstructure parts and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and instructions. Many of the Pyro kits came from Eagle (then Eaglewall) molds in England. Eaglewall went out of business around 1962 and Pyro acquired at least some of the molds. Pyro reissued some of these kits in the mid 1960s with AJ Rudisill artwork. Evidently the line was successful, as Pyro then cut some of their own molds and expanded the series significantly. The earlier issues have the full color artwork and a three digit part number. Later issues have a 'B' or 'C' in front of the three digit kit number; some have simplified box art that is a modification of the original Rudisill paintings by painting out most of the background. Pyro issued these kits into the late 1960 when Life-Like took over the molds. Some were reissued by Life-Like.

Rare 1970s kit from the long out-of-business Centuri Company. The Centuri models were the main competition Estes and many builders preferred the Centuri offerings. The kit measures 28 inches high when built and features very good detail. Parts are injection molded, balsa wood, cardboard and heavy cardstock. Never started. It has been opened & inventoried and NOTE: missing two items, the shroud lines and the cardboard for the shock cord mount. Both parts are easily made or substituted. Otherwise includes all other parts, a large and extensive decal sheet and instructions.

Very rare model from 1946 and even more so in this condition.. Ray had a large line of flying model, Jet-X powered models and even solid models but their distribution was very limited. This model is highly prefabricated and features wings with factory-cut airfoil, cut out profile fuselage, die-cut horizontal and vertical stabilizers, engine cradle parts, metal stock as required, color decals and even a sealed lead tube of wood glue. There are superb, very large full-size plans with extensive text and illustrated instructions for both building and flying. This model can be flown four ways: jet-propelled for speed and endurance, hand-launched glider fashion, catapult launched with a rubber cord and flown 'Swing Control' (on a tether you control). Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The other Ray-Jets include the Jet-Racer, Ryan Fireball, Jet-Swisher, Lockheed P-80 Shooting Star and Jet-Super Rocket

The kit is dated 1958, but this is obviously a later issue from about 1963 as the Aurora logo does not say 'Famous Fighters' in the border and has no sunburst. The two side logos, however, do say 'Famous Fighters.' Kit features movable rudder, elevators and wing ailerons, cockpit with pilot, seat, instrument panel, gun sight and feet stirrups, auxiliary gas tank and rotating prop and wheels. 1960s Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of its kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes colored injection molded parts, clear parts, detailed chassis, detailed engine and exhaust, removable hood, trunk mounted spare and complete interior. There has been no assembly. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions present.
