And thank you for the following data from Jim Pearsall IPMS 2209 and Steve Payne IPMS 47035: PT boats were not commissioned individually, but were commissioned in squadrons of 12 to 16 boats. Squadrons generally had all the same type boat. PT-212 was assigned to MTBRON 15, which was commissioned in January 1943 and included PTs 201 through 218 and sent to the Mediterranean with these 78-foot Higgens boats. MTBRON 15 was active in Africa, Sicily, Capri and Italy. The RON was decommissioned in October of 1944. To place this in historical perspective, this period of WW II in the Mediterranean included the invasions of Sicily, Italy, Anzio and the South of France.

The Nord 1402A Gerfaut first flew on 15 January 1954 as a single-seat single-engined monoplane with thin delta wings and swept vertical tail surfaces and a small high-set delta tailplane. The fuselage was a cylindrical monocoque structure with a nose intake and with the cockpit mounted above it, giving the aircraft its characteristic hump-backed look. It had a retractable tricycle landing gear and was originally powered by an internal 2800 kg (6,173 lb ) thrust ATAR 101C turbojet. On 3 August 1954 it became the first aircraft in Europe to exceed Mach 1 in level flight without afterburners. The second aircraft was the Nord 1402B Gerfaut 1B which had a larger wings and an Atar 101D engine. The third aircraft, the Nord 1405 Gerfaut II, first flown in 1956 was similar but had a refined structure, a clipped delta wing and an ATAR 101F engine. After it had finished test flying the third aircraft was used to test air intercept radars.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

First issue from 1967 is very finely molded. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The Hawk P-36A has the dubious distinction of fighting on both sides and for more countries than any other plane in history during the opening years of WWII. This Hawk, one in a long progression of famous fighter aircraft, was the winner of a 1935 competition. The USAA Corps received the first aircraft in April of 1938 and the French ordered 100 aircraft in May of the same year. French Hawks shot down just over 30 German planes during the battle for France. The Germans captured the aircraft and sold them to Finland. Others were captured when the Germans overran Norway. In all over 800 Hawks were produced and served in China, Netherlands East Indies, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Argentina and Peru. Although an excellent fighter in 1935, the Hawk was outclassed by the time the war started but when flown properly still gave a good account of itself.
