Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: VG++

Rare model injection molded plastic model from the late 1950s. In the mid 1950s Comet, then known for it's line of stick and tissue flying model aircraft, branched out into plastic model kits. By 1963, Comet sold all production molds to Aurora, and Aurora reissued the kits. This lead to Aurora having three different scale B-58 kits in stock - their own near 1/72 and the two from Comet. This is the larger of the two Comet issues in the two piece hardbox. it would date from the late 1950s or early 1960s. Very nicely molded and detailed for it's time. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Please note that the box displays slightly better than 'very good++' but is rated as such because each long side has small, 1/2" x 1/2" tape tears from the factory sealing tape.

Still factory sealed and still the only injection molded 1/72 Elephant kit ever made. Limited production kit, this is one of only 1,500 made. Features injection molded main parts with many precision pewter castings for the smaller details and complete decals. The Martinsyde Elephant entered service in 1916 as a fast scout; but history always has greatly plans for the most versatile aircraft. The Elephant was blessed with an endurance over 5 hours and quickly became a long-range reconnaissance aircraft. But with the addition of the more powerful 160hp Beardmore engine, the Elephant soon entered front line service as a light bomber. It was then in Palestine that she came into her own. From bombing and reconnaissance to a particularly successful career rescuing pilots downed behind enemy lines, its memory lived on, being features within the badge of No. 27 Squadron RAF.

Still factory sealed. This is a mid to late 1960s issue which includes Pyro's very nice Wall or Shelf Display Stand designed for these full size guns. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model featuring minute gunsmith detailing and moving parts. The Western 44 1860 Army model was perhaps the most popular gun of that time and was known for it's sturdy construction and reliability. It's popularity extended well beyond the armed forces as it was used by cowboys, law enforcement, bandits and more.
