Rare first Lindberg issue from the early 1950s with the oval Lindberg script logo on the top and sides. The hardbox has wonderful early Ray Gaedke artwork. The box is 'very good+' and the only flaws are wear and scuffs as shown. This kit was issued very shortly after Paul Lindberg bought out Mr. Olsen as the sides of the box state 'Formerly O-lin Products Inc'. Inside the kit is like new and mold in bright red plastic. The instructions and decals are correct for this early issue. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The instructions give a rare glimpse of the final line up of O-Lin kits aviation kits - F-80C, "Piper Stinson", Beechcraft Bonanza, Ryan Navion, Ercoupe Club-Air, Republic Seabee, Piper Cub Special, F-86 Sabre jet and even a C&NW Locomotive and Tender.

Rare kit from the 1950s. The box has great color and gloss but some creasing as shown. There are no price tags and all four corners are solid. The only tape are the factory tape marks on the sides and bottom where they sealed it originally. Inside the kit is molded in the correct clear and silver with the bright dark blue base and arm. Even the original glue capsule and white paint are included. The paint is in a corked glass vial and is still good. Decals and instructions are exceptional and as new also with light yellowing. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Large wingspan kit for .049 to .051 engines. This is one of the famous Sal Taibi's National award winning designs. Sal was one of the early 'Kings Of Gas Free Flight' and a very gifted designer. Features quality printwood, fully formed wing trailing edges, factory-cut spars and stringers, cut balsa blocks, hardware pack and more. It is like factory-new inside and has not been started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed clear bag; the other parts have been inventoried complete with the decals and plans. Designed for 'Sniffing Thermals,' the honored pastime of a generation of model enthusiasts. Flying model aircraft predated powered flight; however, balsa wood and printwood were not introduced until the early 1930s and the hobby took off, as well as the hunt for thermals. Gas flight began in the early 1930s, and powered models (most all driven by Brown engines) took home so many awards that they were forever separated in competition from rubber powered models. Design of gas models was tricky since RC (radio control) models could not yet be applied to the mass market; so a gas model had to not only fly and climb under power, but then glide sufficiently - all in a stable fashion and without any operator inputs once the airplane took off.

Decals, instructions, box and stand are all correct for this issue and the parts are 100% complete but NOTE: the olive drab plastic is not high gloss. That could mean that these parts were made near the end of this production run or are from the Great Britain issue. The instructions are intact but have a stain and are only 'good.' Decals are flat and excellent with only typical age yellowing as the only flaw
