This highly detailed model is made in Scotland by Accurate Armour. It features high-definition cast resin main parts for both the V-1 missile and the Walther HDP Catapult. This 1/35th scale model by Les Cooper and Derek Hansen consists of a resin V1 model, and a display length of 3 catapult sections, all support legs and side walkway. Decals are also included for the V1 missile. The completed model is 20.5”/520mm long. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Fi-103 ‘Hellhound’ (V 1) was designed as a low cost weapon, and was armed with a 1000kg warhead, and powered by a kerosene burning Argus pulse jet engine designed to work for a one-way journey. For ground launching the ‘ramp’ is actually a gigantic steam catapult, designed by the Walther company. It uses the explosive mixing of chemicals to generate high pressure steam. This catapult is capable of accelerating the 2 ton V1 to 245 m.p.h., and clear of the ramp in under 1 second. The V1 offensive against England lasted from 12th June to 1st September 1944, with over 8,000 firings. A further 1,600 were launched against Antwerp during the closing months of WW2.

At one time this was the most popular R/C model ever made and won numerous awards at the Nationals. Very large 1/6 scale flying scale model is designed for .19 to .35 gas engines and can be easily converted to electric power. Features die-cut balsa and plywood, factory carved balsa blocks, plenty of wood stock, full sized detailed plans, die-cut clear windshield, trademark and number decals, built-up balsa construction, removable wing struts, molded control hinges, new one piece wing, stable design, formed plastic engine cowl, formed metal landing gear, engine mounts and more. The kit has never been started. The small parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and plans. NOTE: the plans are 'good' but the instructions have some minor bug damage that does not interfere with using them to build the aircraft. NOTE: the decals are present but have serious bug damage. Very rare kit from 1941 that measures 18.5 inches long when assembled. This is a deluxe kit that that time which includes a very unusual detailed hanger deck assembly. Issued shortly before the war, the model was not reissued after the war since the Wasp was lost off Guadalcanal by what is likely the most damaging submarine torpedo salvo in history. Includes completely pre-molded and shaped wood-material hull in superb, solid, straight and damage-free condition, 5 sheets of very neatly done printwood (3 on balsa and 2 on quality cardstock for the thinner parts), hardwood stock in a wide variety of shapes and sizes and a fittings packet. Features excellent plans with 5 full size drawings, exploded assembly view, detail drawings of the substructure, weapons, boats and fittings, a detailed view of the hanger deck, flight deck with pre-war markings and even rigging information, full painting guide, parts list and even text assembly instructions. Never started. NOTE: All the wood parts are complete but it is missing three (of four) paper-fibre propellers. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and plans present.
