![]() Kawanishi N1K1 'Shinden' George Exc++ Injection Molded new
| Kit features fine, all recessed panel line detail, many photoetched parts and decals for four aircraft. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. During construction of the NiK1 Kyofu (Strong Wind) float plane, the design team at Kawanishi did a study of converting that aircraft to a land-based fighter. The design seemed very promising, but the Japanese Navy rejected it. Kawanishi decided to privately fund the building of prototypes regardless. The aircraft flew and flew well, but the navy was unimpressed as they ordered the J2M Raiden into production. Kawanishi, undaunted, built four additional prototypes. The IJN was finally won over, and funds were released to produce the fighter. Production problems were solved in time for the Shiden (Violet Lightning) to see action before the end of the war, but not in significant numbers to change the tide. The Shiden was an excellent aircraft, but a modified version, NiK2-J may have been the finest Japanese Naval fighters of the war. | |||

Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: Decals are flaking.

#704 Lindberg
![]() Nautilus Atomic Submarine by Paul Lindberg VG++ Injection Molded old
| Rare first issue hardbox with script Lindberg logo. In the 1930s, Paul Lindberg was designing, building and flying stick and tissue aircraft like so many other men and boys of the time. His plans appear in Popular Aviation magazine and he made a good name for himself. When injection molding showed the way to increased kits sales in the late 1940s/early 1950s, he quickly teamed up with Mr. Olsen to create 'O-lin' models. Ray Gaedke was one the early artists for O-lin. In the early 1950s Paul Lindberg had control and had his name as the logo. The first logo is the one on this kit - 'Lindberg' in script with 'Products' arched across the top and 'Incorporated' arched across the bottom to create a broken circle around the script. Ray Gaedke continued his bold and colorful artwork for Lindberg, such as the box painting for the Nautilus here. The Nautilus appears to be the first sea vessel that Lindberg cut it's own molds for - the Chris Craft Express Cruiser, PT Boat, LST and Fleet Submarine (Ex-Varney) were done by O-lin. The model is an interesting work of fact and fiction - it includes a deck gun and what looks like a Regulus II missile for the deck! The scale is not known but it measures about 12 inches long when assembled. The model has never been started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||

![]() Boeing B-52 Stratofortress with Jet Sound Good++ Injection Molded old
| Ideal builder as the box is only 'Good' condition. First issue of this legendary kit. 1968 model includes realistic electric 'Jet Sound'. When you open the box, the white printed cardboard display presentation is still present and excellent. There is no yellow overlay with cellophane; this was likely removed by the first owner. The instructions, B-52 Book and decals are present and in very good condition. There are two sets of decals; the originals are cracked, so there is also an identical set from a early 1970s issue. Kit does not include the glue. Contains 207 parts. Very nicely detailed. Features crew of three, detailed cockpit, elevating and traversing rear turret, opening and closing bomb bay doors, operating wing flaps, operating spoilers, optional position entry hatch and landing gear, and optional parts to display one nacelle open to show the jet engine. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||

![]() F-80C (P-80) Shooting Star NM Injection Molded old
| 1950s issue. The hardbox is in exceptional near mint condition with fantastic color and gloss. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear with the early O-lin style stand. The kit has not been started and is complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Paul Lindberg got his start in 1930s model aviation by designing, building and flying stick and tissue aircraft. His plans appeared in Popular Aviation magazine and he soon made a name for himself. When injection molding showed the way to increased kits sales in the late 1940s/early 1950s, he quickly teamed up with Mr. Olsen to create 'O-lin' models. Ray Gaedke was one the the early artists for O-lin, and he help pioneer dramatic and colorful box artwork. In the early 1950s Paul Lindberg was running the company and had the logo changed to his name. The first logo was circular, with 'Lindberg' in middle and 'Products' 'Incorporated' arched across the top and bottom. The second logo is the 'Yellow Square' that is on this kit. Ray Gadke continued his bold and colorful artwork for Lindberg and did this F-80C boxart as well. | |||
