Very highly detailed and intricate ship model that measures 36 inches long and 22.5 inches high when assembled. Features laser cut basswood keel and 21 piece bulkhead set. Construction is plank-on-frame with basswood strips and included self-adhesive copper foil for below the waterline sheathing. Masts, yards and spars are from high quality beech wood. Rigging is very realistic with black standing and white running rigging, 225 blocks in three sizes, and 200 wooden deadeyes. Castings are in solid brass or Britannia metal. Includes six sheet of plans and an excellent 56 page instruction book. The kit has never been started. Most of the parts were sealed at the factory and all of those are still in the internal clear sealed bags. The few larger parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork and a superb plan set.

Rare model from 1997. Still factory sealed and a highly detailed special issue model with resin parts to make a correct Kate Pearl Harbor Level Bomber. These special bombs began life as 16" AP shells from Nagato and Mutsu and were modified to become aircraft bombs. It was one of these bombs that detonated Arizona's forward powder magazine. This model features very fine recessed surface detail, full interior with crew stations, fully enclosed landing gear wells, optional position canopy, special bomb and more. Includes decals for both aircraft listed.

1/700 scale waterline model that is highly detailed and finely molded. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The Kasuga Maru was one of a class of three Japanese ocean liners that were built for the Nippon Yusen K line. She was launched in September 1940 and saw very little or no service (accounts vary) as a transport before her conversion to the escort carrier Taiyo. Given the size and machinery of this class of liner, the IJN subsidized their construction and knew they would make fine escort carriers. The Taiyo went on to have a very active career. She was attacked many times and damaged several times. Taiyo was eventually sunk in a submarine attack in August 1944 with a heavy loss of life by the USS Rasher.
