1953 Chevrolet Corvette - Rare Promo in Kit Form With Paints and Brush Good Plastic_Metal old | ||
| Very rare. Product Miniature Company of Milwaukee, WI issued the 'Tru Miniatures' New (1953) Chevrolet Corvette as a friction-powered promotional model for Chevrolet dealers and in kit form in a display box. The kit form is the rarest of the two. This example is in untouched condition. When you lift the lid, the cardboard presentation material is intact. The metal chassis and friction motor is on the right, the acetate body in the middle held in place by the paint brush, the correct two glass bottles of silver and red paint are at the upper left, the small parts and decals are still in the factory envelope and below that are the four rubber tires with the wheels in their slots. Detailed assembly and painting instructions are on the back. The acetate body is very straight with almost none of the typical warping. The box is complete but has wear as shown, mainly on the sides. This kit must be shipped insured. | |||

| Rare kit from 1937. This is one of Ideal's larger and more highly detailed kits in the 'Super Detail' line. The add on the plans lists this model as being 23 inches long, but I measured it on the plans as 21 inches. Very nicely done kit for it's time with a 80% precarved hull, extensive metal fittings, wooden blocks and deadeyes, metal stock, printwood sheets and full size plans with rigging details and rigging materials. The kit has never been started. Most all small details are still in the internal factory sealed bags and 'Pill Bottle'. All other parts are inventoried 100% complete including plans. | |||

New Taylor Cub - 16 inch Wingspan Dime Scale Flying Airplane NM Wood old | ||
| Scale Flight Model Company in Bloomington, Indiana, USA was dedicated to releasing authentic reproductions of the finest "Dime Scale" flying model (stick and tissue) kits from the 1930s/40s. Dime Scale models used to sell for a dime in the 1930's, hence the name. They are actually box scale, but as a general guideline, they usually had a wingspan of 16 inches and have simple and light construction. "Dime Scale" models are now a class flown in some competitions. Kit consists of contest grade printwood, contest quality strip wood, machine cut balsa propeller, the best Japanese tissue, wooden wheels, competition bushed nose plug, brass thrust washers, prop shaft, prop freewheeler, FAI rubber strip motor and a copy of a genuine dime scale plan that was used in the 1930s-1940s. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. | |||

| Late 1950s/early 1960s high gloss box top 'L' style issue with wrap around full box artwork and yellow-backed Heller logo. Very nicely molded and detailed. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Amiot 143 design was first flown in 1934 and was ordered into series production with the first deliveries in August of 1935. A very capable aircraft for it's day, it was obsolete but still in service with 5 bombing groups when WWII broke out. Brave air crews attacked not only night targets in Germany proper but made daylight raids on bridges at the Sedan during the Blitz. | |||

Excellent detail throughout. The model as never been started. AMD Mercure (Mercury) 100 Airliner 'Air Inter' Sealed Mint Injection Molded old | ||
| Still factory sealed. Rare model in exceptional condition. KVZ was the logo used by this East German kit manufacture from 1969 to 1973. During this time, some fantastic Cold War kits were produced of Russian Aeroflot and Warsaw Pac Airliners as well as Military Helicopters and Aircraft. This is the large scale (1/100) Mercure in Air Inter markings. The Mercury airliner was the result of a Dassault marketing study in the late 1960s that said that the market would evolve for a short ranged jet aircraft with 130 to 160 seats. The first prototype flew in May of 1971. The kit is molded in gloss white, clear, black and silver. Mold quality is very good and details are raised and recessed. | |||

All parts and original paperwork are still sealed in the factory internal bag. | |||
