Lockheed ASW P-3A Orion - US Navy VP-8 Good- Injection Molded old | ||
| 1973 issue from Kikoler Revell Brazil. The flaws in the Lockheed Electra ensured that it had a short service life as an airliner. But the sound design was modified into one of the most successful and long serving of all ASW aircraft - the Orion. Revell seized upon this opportunity to recoup some of the money sunk into the Electra molds. The molds were modified to make this kit, the "A" version of the venerable patrol aircraft. | 1979 issue. NOTE: builder kit only. Features full weapons load of iron bombs and AIM-9 Sidewinder missiles, optional position landing gear, detailed main gear wells, optional position wings (folded or unfolded), pilot figure and very colorful decals. NOTE: kit has some assembly. Quality of assembly is 'very good' and does not deter the completion of the kit. Intake, exhaust, cockpit and fuselage halves have been assembled. There is no other assembly. Bombs, wheels, exhuast and anti-glare shield have been painted black. There is no other painting. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Note that one landing gear strut brace is a different color as it is from an earlier issue of this same kit. | |||

Sir Freddie Laker's DC-10 Skytrain Sealed VG+ Injection Molded old | ||
| Still factory sealed but the seal has drawn the box top concave. 1978 issue. Well made 1/144 kit of the famous (or infamous) 'three-holer' in the historic Laker colors. In 1971, air lines were highly regulated on both sides of the Atlantic. Freddie Laker thought he could fly passengers across the 'Pond' at a fraction of the current ticket prices. Using his successful experience from operating one of the most profitable UK charter airlines, Laker battled for years for permission to run his service at 1/3 of what the existing carriers charged. After 6 years, he finally won. On September 26, 1977, the Laker DC-10s began the first daily discount cross Atlantic flights from London to New York. Although Skytrain service has been long discontinued, Laker helped created the regulatory and business model for modern discount airlines, such as Southwest. | |||

Boeing SST Supersonic Clipper Pan Am 2 Kits (2707) Good- Injection Molded old | ||
| Rare. Early issue from 1968. Not the newer reproduction. Contains two large 18 inch long SSTs, one in landing and one in cruise configuration. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, special two-aircraft stand and excellent decals & instructions. The Boeing SST modeled here is the second (2707-200) variant which still had the swing-wing design which proved impractical in this aircraft. The damaging effects of sonic booms over population centers ultimately contributed to the cancellation of the project. | |||

| 1974 issue. Hard to find kit of the last WWII carrier class. Has John Steele artwork from the 'Picture Fleet' series. Nicely done full hull model features detailed island, 26 aircraft including Skyraiders, Corsairs, Cougars and helicopters, nicely engraved flight deck, stand, decals and flags. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including 'good' grade decals and instructions. Although designed for the Pacific battles, the Midway and her sisters did not see service in WWII. The Midway was the first surface ship to launch a ballistic missile. She and her sisters served proudly in the post-war years until replaced by the super-carriers. | |||

USS Essex CV-9 - Angled Deck Carrier Good++ Injection Molded old | ||
| 1982 Revell of Germany reissue of the original 'S' kit. Issue date is probably mid 1960s/early 1970s. Builds up to an impressive and well detailed kit representing the rebuilt Essex with an angled deck. Air wing includes helicopter, F9F Cougars, F8U Crusaders, A-1 Skyraiders, A-4 Skyhawks and F11F Tigers. Has deck crane and 6 deck tractors. Side elevators go up and down; mid-deck bow elevator can be shown down or up. NOTE: one Skyraider has had the prop glued on. There is no other assembly. The quality of work is 'excellent' with no gaps or excess glue. The kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Excellent after-market decals for the ship and a complete, detailed air wing are available from Starfighter decals. | |||

XSL-01 Manned Space Ship - 'S' Issue VG Injection Molded old | ||
| One of the "Holy Grail" of 1950s Space Kits. 1957 first and only issue 'S' kit with the fantastic box art. Molds reportedly damaged beyond use, which makes reissues impossible. The spaceship was designed by the rocket scientist Ellwyn E. Angle of Systems Laboratories Inc. Features detailed manned top stage with full interior, removable top, opening hatch, spaceship and ground crew members and detailed working launch pad. The main stages and boosters snap apart to recreate all phases of the flight from Earth takeoff, Lunar Landing and Return to Earth. The included 'XSL-01 Operations Manual' outlines in words and illustrations each phase of the spaceship's trip. Molded in the correct gloss orange, silver, gloss metallic blue and clear. Never started. All internal factory cardboard presentation material is present and excellent. 100% inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Instructions and booklet are 'excellent' with typical yellowing as the only flaw. Decals are 'excellent' and flat with light yellowing. Box is graded "Very Good". It has four solid, original corners, is free of litho tears and rips. It has the original price tag one one end and four old, small pieces of clear tape on the sides and typical shelf wear as shown. Shipping insurance is required on this kit. | |||

Hospital Ship Haven Exc Injection Molded old | ||
| 1995 reissue of the popular 1950s 'S' kit. Ideal builder. As with most early Revell ship models, this is a well detailed and nicely molded full hull model. Features railing detail, full superstructure and all cargo booms, helicopter landing pad with helicopter, davits, lifeboats and more. NOTE: hull halves and rudder have been assembled and the red below the waterline has been airbrushed red. Quality of assembly is 'excellent' with no gaps and the deck dry-fits perfectly. Paint quality is 'very good' and can be easily painted over. There is no other assembly or painting and the kit is inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||
