Rare. 1970 issue featuring the Phota-Scope. In place of the nuclear reactor, Aurora put a tube that has a magnifying lens at the top and a film transparency of a submarine interior at the bottom. So when you lift the hatch, you looked through the magnifier to see the inside of the sub. It was an interesting idea, and Aurora extended Phota-scope to some tank kits around the same time. The kit has never been started. Inventoried with all parts, magnifying lens and tube, phota-scope picture, decals and correct instructions present. The box looks much better than the 'good' rating but is graded as such because there is a closed tear in the box top at the sail of the sub.

Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Mint
$185
Very rare model in incredible, investment-grade 'Mint' box condition. The original owner very carefully opened the model but left the shrink wrap protecting the box top and four sides. It is in remarkable condition; there is no more wear than it left the assembly line with. Dated 1958 with fantastic Jo Kotula artwork; however the lack of 'Famous Fighters' in the oval boarder logo means that it is closer to the early 1960s. The model inside is molded in a wonderful gloss dark green and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Instructions and decals are 'near mint' with slight yellowing as the only significant flaw.
Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Sealed Mint

Still factory sealed with the box in amazing, investment-grade "Mint" condition. The seal is 100% intact and the kit has no more wear than it left the assembly line. From about 1991. A super high performance fun fly airplane that turns into an addiction after a few flights. The unconventional "V" tail make this airplane do things a straight tail never dreamed of. The Yankee Twister combines radical performance with some very conventional construction methods. Most of the assembly is of balsa, hard and ply woods. Some composite materials are utilized but hold no surprises and require no special tools or adhesives to make them work. Features factory cut ribs and numerous other factory cut balsa and plywood parts, fully formed wire landing gear and much more. With plans and a text instructions booklet. Never started. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the larger parts were never factory sealed and some are still held together with the original rubber bands. Inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork. NOTE: this kit came in a very sturdy and thick cardboard box. It will ship in that box wrapped in thick brown paper. If you wish for it to be placed inside another box, let me know in the 'comments' section of checkout but be aware that additional shipping charges will apply and an invoice will emailed to you for that.
