1/28  #1200-027  KSN Midori
Kawasaki Ki-61-1 "Tony' - Motor Drives Prop and Wheels and Wing Navigation Lights Flash
Good++   Injection Molded   old
$375

Very rare. Very large 1/28 scale motorized kit. A metal gear box with nylon gears is driven by a common FA-130 motor. The gearbox spins the prop and drives the tail wheel, moving the aircraft across any smooth surface while the red and green wing navigation light blink on and off. Factory glue is included as well as all running hardware and lights. Please note that KSN did not furnish the motor with the kit. Features hidden battery compartment (where the real engine would be), moving rudder, elevator and ailerons and opening canopy. The kit has never been started and is complete. Inside it is just as it left the factory. The small parts, gearbox, lights and glue are still factory sealed. The large parts that were never sealed are inventoried compete. The cardboard presentation material and color photo of the assembled model are as new. Includes instructions and decals in excellent condition.
1/175  #H162-129  Revell
Boeing B-52 with X-15 - Master Modeler Issue
Exc+   Injection Molded   old
$185

Rare. 1960 issue. The box is in excellent condition with as-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs and no tags, tape or tag/tape marks. This is the 'textured' box issue so that the artwork looks like a real painting. Note that the box art is 'framable', that is there is no design on it. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including excellent decals and instructions. Also includes Master Modeler's Collector stamp for the Chris Craft Sport Fishing Boat.
1/32  #PA77-198  Monogram
F-51D (P-51D) Mustang Action Model
VG-   Injection Molded   old
$135

First issue of this classic 'Action Model'. Canopy opens and closes to show highly detailed cockpit. Tiny levers under the wings drop 2 bombs. Knob on the bottom rotates and extends/retracts main gear and tail wheel; all gear doors including tail wheel open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit is over 35 years old and functions like new! Great detail. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. This kit has an interesting history. In 1961, Monogram introduced the 1/32 scale Phantom Mustang. This was a very ambitious project. The kit was transparent, highly detailed and included two electric motors. One motor raised and lowered the main gear and tail wheel while the other spun the prop. Two small levers on the base dropped bombs from the wings. It was molded in clear, silver, black, red and zinc chromate green. Although successful, the kit was expensive to produce and cost a hefty $4.98 when new. As a way to create more revenue from the molds, Monogram cleverly created this kit - using the same molds as the Phantom Mustang. The stand, gears and motorizing features were simply left out and the model molded in solid colors. The gear retraction/extension features was retained, but moved to a small knob on the bottom of the wing; the same for the bomb dropping mechanism. This lowered the price to $1.98 and this revenue certainly helped pay down the mold costs.

1/232  #H331-300  Revell
SMS Seeadler (Sea Eagle) German WWI Commerce Raider
Good   Injection Molded   old
$179

Rare 1966 kit of a fantastic subject - the famous WWI sailing commerce raider of Count Felix Von Luckner. Nicely done full hull kit with very good detail, pre-formed rat lines, full deck fittings, silver 'anchor chain', black standing and tan running rigging material, flag sheet, vacuform sails, display stand and more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including flag and instructions. The SMS Seeadler was a unique WWI raider in that it was not designed to elude the British blockade and break out to sea...it was designed to pass right through the blockade within full view of the British before attacking allied shipping around the world. No detail was overlooked in the Seeadler's preparation, right down to a Norwegian-speaking crew. The plan went perfectly - and the Seeadler passed inspection at the British Blockade. Her non-threatening appearance helped her in an active and colorful raiding career that nearly went around the world. I highly recommend reading any of several books that you can find about this ship. Von Luckner himself became quite a celebrity for his exciting exploits.
1/542  #H339  Revell
USS Forrestal Super Carrier
Poor   Injection Molded   old
$125

1971 reissue of the famous 'S' kit. The box retains the 'S' artwork but has pictures of other ships on the side. Full hull model with propeller and rudder detail, moving elevators, crane and antenna booms. Contains an airwing of 18 with helicopters, A3D Skywarriors, FJ Furys, F7U Cutlass and Banshee aircraft. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please note that the box is intact but poor. The Decals have yellowed and have bug damage to the backing paper. If you wish to build the kit, it is best to replace them with the excellent Starfighter reproduction decal set for this kit.
1/301  #H338-149  Revell
USS Campbell CG Cutter 'S' Kit
VG++   Injection Molded   old
$179

First issue 1956 'S' issue with fantastic box artwork. Like almost all of Revell's early ship models, this one is very finely molded and has very good detail. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
1/12  #29C  Rogers Motor Company
Studabaker M-29 C Weasel - Army Personnel and Cargo Carrier
Good   Multi_Media   old
$125

Rare, large 1/12 scale highly pre-fabricated kit from 1945. Very high quality wood and metal scale Weasel measuring 10.5 inches long when assembled. Features pre-cut and precarved hardwood parts for the main body and deck fittings, completely formed bogie wheels, die-cut fibre bogie chassis, numerous other very thick fibre parts, metal screen and metal stock as needed, complete interior, numerous other die cut parts, completely formed tread links, clear windshield, full decals and much more. Rogers spent a significant amount of time on the 'Photo-Plan' instructions, providing photos for each step and detailed text, full size plans and parts list. The kit has never been started. NOTE: the kit was missing 5 of 32 small wooden bogie wheels. I have put in 5 old new stock wooden wheels of the correct diameter from a 1940s aircraft kit. Inventoried with all other parts, decals and full instructions with plans. Rogers was an early producer of miniature gas engines for free-flight and early radio control model kits and often had large adds for these engines in hobby magazines. The full company name on the box is listed as 'Rogers Motor Company Detroit Michigan' and the 'Scale Model Division' is listed as Tawas City, Michigan. Right at the end of WWII, Rogers made a very short journey into kit manufacturing. As you would expect from an engine manufacture, the kits were all true scale, highly prefabricated, had excellent detail and were fairly complicated. Rogers produced at least four kits - the 40MM AA Gun and Carriage (1/16 scale), M-4 Sherman Tank, LST and Army Weasel. I have seen several of these kits built and they make excellent displays.

  #M12-98  KMT
Dart and Little John Missiles
Good-   Injection Molded   old
$285

In the late 1950s KMT released several large scale missile kits, all of which are rare today. This one is the Little John in 1/20 scale and the Dart in 1/12 scale. The Dart measures 6 inches long when built. Other large scale missiles that are listed as released by KMT are the Talos, Nike Hercules, Nike Ajax, Honest John and large 22" Corporal. Never started. 1/48  #2099  Graupner
Oseberg-Schiff (Oseberg Viking Ship) - 17.6 Inch Long Wooden Ship Kit
Poor   Wood   old
$125

Very highly detailed large scale kit. Graupner is well known for detailed, scale kits and this one is no exception. As the instructions state: 'The model is built in the same manner as the original ship. In practically all points the plans closely follow the design of the Osebergship.' The main parts are made of lime, pine, beech and ply print wood. Other parts are made from cotton yarn and linen. The kit has not been started and is complete with all parts, English instruction book, German instructions book and full size plans. The plans have insect damage but are fully usable. NOTE: like most all Graupner kits, this one has an optional fittings set which must be purchased separately. This kit includes the fittings kit with oars, cleats, tackle and blocks. However, there are no shields. Box is complete but graded 'poor' due to heavy wear as shown.
1/48  #99-130  Aurora
Lockheed P-38 Lightning
Exc++   Injection Molded   old
$125

The Jo Kotula box artwork is dated 1959, but the kit is slightly later (early 1960s) due to the '130' price extension and the lack of 'Famous Fighters' in the ovals. The box is 'excellent++' with like new color and gloss and four solid corners. Molded in silver and clear the the 'triangle' clear stand and stand arm. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. The Aurora issues of the 1/48 scale P-38 are interesting to say the least. The first issue is the Brooklyn kit with the P-38/B-24 box artwork. Inside, the plastic is light blue with minimal surface detail and a clear canopy and rectangular stand that says 'Aurora Plastic Corp. Brooklyn, 4, N.Y.'. There are no landing gear, gear doors or mass balances. The second issue has identical box art, plastic color, decals and rectangular stand, but the box and instructions says 'West Hempstead' instead of Brooklyn. The clear stand mold has had 'Brooklyn' milled out, and there is no location on the stand. The third issue has the same artwork, but the full color 'Aurora Line' logo is used - but the big changes were on the inside. Aurora modified the molds, adding a pitot tube, elevator mass balances and landing gear struts, wheels and doors. The decals and stand remain the same, but the new instructions reflect the changes to the molds. This time the kit is molded in an attractive metallic blue. The fourth issue dropped the Jim Cox artwork in favor of a new P-38 flying from right to left across a threatening sky. The plastic still metallic light blue and the decals and stand remain unchanged. The new details were retained. The fifth issue was 1959. The oval 'Famous Fighters' logo was used with Jo Kotula artwork of two P-38s. The detail level of the kit remained the same, but it was molded in olive drab and clear. The newer 'Triangle' base was added at this time. Further issues kept this box artwork, but the oval logo changed as well as the price extensions. This is a 6th issue due to the lack of 'Famous Fighters' in the oval, and the 99-130 price.
1/48  #118-79  Aurora
North American P-51D Mustang With Aurora Glue
Good++   Injection Molded   old
$145

Contains still sealed Aurora glue with the early 'Aurora Line' logo. The kit is the first issue from about 1956 with the Northern Lights logo. Has many working features: detailed engine with removable cowlings, full cockpit and retractable landing gear. Molded in gloss olive green and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
1/48  #40A-79  Aurora
Grumman F6F Hellcat - Famous Fighters of All Nations
Exc++   Injection Molded   old
$175

Second issue of this rare kit. For this release, Aurora changed to the full color 'Aurora Line' rectangular logo, dropped the 'national insignia' left-hand box top boarder and retained the original artwork. 'A' was added to the part number and the price extension was raised to '79' from '69'. Kit is molded in the correct beautiful metallic dark blue and clear and has the rectangular clear stand, correct decals and correct instructions. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
1/180  #493-49  Aurora
Boeing B-47 Stratojet
VG+   Injection Molded   old
$125

From 1956. Very rare first issue with 'Famous Fighters' square 'Northern Lights' logo. Classic Jo Kotula artwork. This issue only lasted one year, as in 1957 the new oval logo box was used. The box would be near mint but is graded 'very good+' because there is insect litho damage on one short side. Inside, the model is as new down to the original packing tissue. The parts are high gloss silver. The instructions are dated 1956 and correctly show the old style logo and square clear stand. The decals and stand are correct for this issue also. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts, decals, instructions and correct square clear 2-piece stand.
1/535  #H301-198  Revell
USS Missouri Battleship - Pre-S Wide Box Issue
VG+++   Injection Molded   old
$165

1954 second Pre-S release in the wider box. The earlier (1st) Pre-S release is in the narrow packaging. Very good+++ box condition with perfect color and gloss and light general wear as shown. Never started. Inside, the kit is factory new. The small parts are still sealed in the clear factory bag, and the parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete including the flag sheet and instructions. This kit is from the first molds that Revell cut for it's own model. Kits previous to this were marketed from other companies, such as Gowland & Gowland. It is said that the Missouri was the most profitable kit that Revell ever produced.
1/547  #H307-249  Revell
Midway Class Carrier USS Franklin D. Roosevelt
Exc   Injection Molded   old
$215

Original Pre 'S' release. Revell's first aircraft carrier model from 1954. Very good kit of a straight-deck Midway class ship in the near original configuration. Features heavy AA battery and an airwing of F4U Corsairs, F9F Cougars, AD-6 Skyraiders and a helicopter that may be a HUP. Has correct hardbox in excellent condition. Color and gloss and as new and all four corners are solid; general wear and light creasing are the main flaws. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct glossy light gray plastic. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag and the parts that were never bagged have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.
1/56  #H210-79  Revell
Lockheed F-94C Starfire Interceptor - With One Piece Stand Arm - Pre 'S' Kit
VG++   Injection Molded   old
$175

1954 Pre-S issue. This is the rare second issue. The first issue was in the simple one-piece box and Revell quickly converted to this two-piece box as it was much more durable and a full-color lithographed 'slick' could be used. For the second issue, Revell added rivet and raised panel line detail as well as landing gear, a two piece box and H210-79 kit number. The famous 'Globe' clear stand was added, but this kit has the rare one piece stand arm and the instructions reflecting that. Revell quickly realized that the one-piece arm was not strong enough, and quickly modified it to the familiar three piece arm for the 3rd issue. The box is in very good++ condition with four solid corners, nice color and gloss and minimal wear with minor insect damage on the corners of one short side. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are in near mint condition. The original small parts 'krinkle' bag is present as well.
