Clipper Stag Hound 'The Largest Merchant Ship of Her Day' - Master Modelers Club Issue
Exc+++   Injection Molded   old
$110

1962 issue with framable box artwork by John Steel. The box is in exceptional 'excellent+++' condition with like new color and gloss and four solid corners. Very nicely detailed like all early Revell sailing ships. Full hull kit with premolded ratlines, decals, flags, rigging material and full rigging instructions. Molded in three colors. The model has not been started. Inside, the kit is like new. The parts are in the factory sealed bag with all paperwork and instructions. Even contains a tube of original Revell 'S' Cement. The Stag Hound was designed by the famous Donald McKay and was launched on December 7, 1850. She is famous for her great speed and turned a nice profit for her owners. The most notable event was when the Stag Hound was asked to take a copy of President Lincoln's inaugural address to London. During this run, she raced the steamer 'America' and won easily. Shortly after this she was lost off Brazil to a spontaneous combustion of her coal cargo. The crew successfully abandoned ship. The captain was the last to leave. He lowered the American Flag, wrapped it around himself and jumped overboard.

HMS Bounty - 'S' Issue with 'S' Glue
NM   Injection Molded   old
$145

The 1st issue of this kit dated 1956. This box is in exceptional condition. The gloss and color are the finest that I have ever seen. There is no edge wear and all four corners are solid. The only flaws are clear tape on the two long sides and a small written '9/60' on one short side. Revell's early ship models were remarkably detailed. This kit is no exception and has excellent detail. Kit comes with preformed ratlines and full rigging instructions. Kit even has the original sealed large size tube of Revell 'S' Cement, and the original wrapper for the glue is present also. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions.

Tactical Missiles Dart and Little John
VG+   Injection Molded   old
$120

This is not the 'S' issue, but is the rarer final issue from 1963. The part number and name were changed also but the 'S' box art is still used. Note that the the kit is called 'Tactical Rockets' instead of the original Tactical Missiles'. The side panels show Revell's then new series of 1/72 scale WWII aircraft. These missile models are well detailed. The Dart includes four missiles, one launcher, three stands, decals, one optical guidance unit and a crew of three. The Little John includes a detailed launcher with elevating rails, movable support legs, decals and crew of three. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including all paperwork also in the bag. Box would grade higher than 'VG+' but there is light bug damage to the side litho. Little John was a light-weight free-flight rocket that was highly mobile. It could be pulled on it's launcher or transported by helicopter. Length was 12 feet long and the warhead was atomic. The Dart was a very early wire guided anti-tank missile with a solid propellant rocket motor. An optical rangefinder was used for guidance. It was 5 feet in length.

Stinson Model T Tri-Motor - Eastern Air Service
Exc+   Injection Molded   old
$165

Rare. This famous early 1930s transport was the primary competition of the Ford Tri-Motor and saw widespread use. It was the idea of E.L. Cord, the money behind the aircraft and the owner of the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg automobile company. Cord also owned Lycoming, the engines that ended up on the final product. Another of Cord's companies was Century Airlines, which naturally used the aircraft. Century later became part of American Airlines. The Model T was used by many other airlines including Eastern, Delta, Braniff, TWA, United and American when they rolled up Century. The Tri-Motor carried 10 passengers, baggage and of course the mail, which was critical to early airline revenue. The aircraft proved successful and economical to operate. Includes clear windows, interior with passengers and pilots, Eastern Air Service decals and clear blue-tinted display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
1/72  #8448  Entex
De Havilland No.1 (DH-1) 1910 / Antoinette 1908 Monoplane / Voisin Farman 1908 Biplane 'The Pioneers of the Air' (Ex-Taimei)
Good   Injection Molded   old
$125

Rare and highly detailed kits from original Taimei molds. These are unique and accurate kits. The original internal frame structure and details of the aircraft is built from injection molded plastic. When complete, it is covered with a very strong fabric which is included. The result is a very realistic aircraft. Never started. The parts are still in the factory sealed bags complete with instructions. Fuji also released this kit from ex-Taimei molds, and since Entex lists the kits as being made in Japan (and uses Fuji's box art), it is likely that Fuji molded the kits for Entex. Some of these molds found their way to Renwal, where they may have been the inspiration for the famous Aeroskin series.
