| This kit is still factory sealed in the clear cello wrap but the seal has splits. Pocher made the finest automobile models ever created. The detail and working parts on these long out-of-production, big 1/8 scale kits is amazing. This kit has 1954 parts of plastic, brass, steel, leather, iron, rubber, copper and many other material. Working features include operating steering, working suspension, lights that operate from the dashboard, doors that open and close with operating door latches and handles, starting handle that operates the crankshaft, connecting rods, pistons, V-belts, Fan, dynamo, etc in the engine. The convertible top operates - and much, much, more more. Recommended for experienced models only. This is the desirable early version with the most realistic wheel construction. Each wheel is built just like a real spoke wheel with individual spokes and well over 100 parts. Shipping insurance (and Express Mail for international customers) is required. | |||

Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior, spoked wheels and a removable hood. The kit has never been started. Douglas DC-3 Flagship- American Airlines Exc Wood_Plastic old | ||
| Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacture. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - usually only a quick sanding would finish them. This kit is hardwood with many plastic injection molded parts, so it was produced in the transition from wood to plastic. The model includes plastic detail parts, decals, glue and sandpaper. The carving is done to the final shape. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. 10.5 inch wingspan. Never started. 100% complete with all parts, decals and detailed plans/instructions. | |||

The small parts are still in the krinkle bag, but the bag was split - so I inventoried the kit and returned them to the bag and sealed it in a zip-lock. | |||

| Still mint in the factory seal. Very successful Japanese fleet submarine from WWII that sported an aircraft in a sealed hanger. This combination was used to bomb the western USA as the only bombing attack on the American mainland during WWII. Motorized model that can be made remote control with today's tiny components. | |||
