1/48 #507 O-Lin
![]() Ryan Navion / North American Aviation NA-143 VG Injection Molded old
| Very rare kit for the advanced collector. This is a very hard to fine original O-lin kit in the small box and advertisement for O-lin cement on the top. Production first began in 1949 or just before. O-Lin (Olin) was founded by Paul Lindberg and a Mr. Olsen - hence the company name. Although a producer of flying models in the 1930s, O-lin produced some of the earliest American injection molded kits in the late 1940s. In 1950 the partnership may have ended, because all branding was changed to Lindberg and Paul Lindberg. Inside, the kit is as new and even includes early paper packing material. It is molded in high gloss dark red. I have seen many cases where Paul Lindberg used up the old O-Lin stock, combining different sets of instructions and decals resulting in odd combinations. While I admire his efficiency, it makes does make collecting these unique. This model has the O-Lin box, O-Lin parts and early 'Olin' decals (they say 'Olin' on the front and 'Lindberg Products' on the back!) and very early first logo Lindberg instructions. The kit has never been started and is inventoried complete with all parts, instructions and decals. The Navion was originally produced by North American Aviation as a high performance sport plane, but they sold them to the US Air Force as well. North American sold the rights to Ryan, who continued to successfully produce the aircraft. | |||

1/15 #B1 Enterprise
![]() Cycle Miniatures Old High Wheeler Bicycle Exc Injection Molded old
| Very rare. Enterprise was a very successful maker of balsa wood free-flight and control line aircraft models dating well back into the 1930s. In the early 1950s modeling started to change and the Gowland/Revell 'Highway Pioneers' got the attention of Enterprise staff. Enterprise maintained it's own museum of rare and extraordinary old time bicycles, so it only seemed natural that the first (and only) two plastic kits from the company would represent bikes. This model is of the High Wheeler, based on the 'Columbia' of 1979 and is very nicely molded and detailed for the time. It includes a display base also. This model and a 'Tandem' were issued in 1954 but did not sell well; production was discontinued after a short run. The kit has never been started. All parts are still sealed in the 'krinkle' bag. The instructions are mint and contain and excellent 'History of the Bicycle' on one side and detailed, illustrated assembly instructions on the other side. | |||
1/30 Best
![]() 1931 Miller (Bowes) Special Indianapolis 500 Winner VG++ Injection Molded old
| Very rare kit for the advanced collector. All parts are still in the original 'krinkle' bag. Complete with decals and instructions. NOTE: instructions are photocopied. | |||

#J-16 Megow

The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete. Fred Megow was a famous pioneer in the model aircraft field from the late 1920s till 1949. His product lines of semi-prefabricated, solid and stick and tissue kits won him national and extensive world wide distribution - possibly the first modern model manufacture to achieve this. His fascinating story involves trying novel and untested marketing ideas in the Great Depression, followed my explosive world-wide growth. Mr. Megow was a true pioneer in the early days of modeling and a leader in the low price field so that every boy could afford a kit during those difficult times. Megow also produced scale operating train and trackside kits, ship models (large and small) and automotive subjects. Megow's catalogs claim that they were pioneers in HO scale, and there is documentation to support this fact. Megow's early HO train kits served not only to promote this now-popular scale nationally, but were among the very first train kits. Model train kits were responsible for the explosion in model railroad popularity in the late 1930s - please see the article in this website about these kits.

1/1 #C201-129 Pyro
![]() Buccaneer Antique Pistol - American circa 1787 Lancaster Pennsylvania VG Injection Molded old
| From about 1966. Early hardbox issue. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model is an exact copy of an actual early American pistol that was handmade in the year 1787 by an unknown gunsmith in the vicinity of Lancaster, PA. Most flintlock pistols of this period were carried by US Army officers on horseback. These weapons were unreliable and hard to reload, so they were designed with a heavy stock. After firing it made for a handy club. Molded in woodgrain and gun metal silver. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including instructions. | |||
