#926-100 Lindberg
![]() Blitz- 18 inch Wingspan Rubber Powered Plastic Flying Airplane Model Sealed NM Vaccuform old
| Still factory sealed. Very rare. Fantastic artwork by Ray Gaedke. The box is in exceptional near mint condition. In the late 1950s/early 1960s, Lindberg came out with a complete line of vacuformed rubber powered flying models. The kits were all prepainted, had large wingspans and were quite attractive for flying models. They also included the rubber band, spring wire landing gear and injection molded wheels, propeller and bushing. The instructions are on the back along with a detailed trim/adjustment guide for flying. | |||

![]() US Navy WWI Submarine Chaser (Sub Chaser) - ex-ITC VG Injection Molded old
| The US Navy WWI Submarine chaser was a 110 foot wooden vessel. The ships carried a crew of 25 and were armed with a 3 lb deck gun and a "Y" gun for discharging depth charges. The ships proved valuable in combating the German U-boats in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Some were updated and saw service in WWII. This is the large and well detailed ex-ITC kit. When ITC discontinued plastic kit production, 'Ringo' was the name give to the 'clearing house' company that cleaned out the ITC warehouse of left over stock. Ringo kits normally did not come with decals or flag sheets - this kit is no exception. The kit has not been started. Missing one part: small vent. This part is easily made from round plastic stock bent like an inverted 'J'. Complete with all other parts and instructions. Some hull stanchions are broken, which is typical of all the ITC and Ringo subchasers, but they are included. | |||

Richard Kishady did the famous painting for this kit and originally included German kill markings on the nose of the P-39. Very shortly after this, Revell began to export kits to Europe. Shortly after World War II, many European countries banned the swastika. Revell changed the box art to Japanese kill markings, making the kit legal to sell in those countries. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts/decals and instructions present.
1/30 #535-79 Best
![]() 1935 Gilmore Special Indianapolis 500 Winner VG++ Injection Molded old
| Very rare kit for the advanced collector. In the early 1950s Best Hobby Kits (Best Plastic Corporation of Brooklyn, NY) entered the infant USA plastic model kit market with a series of Indianapolis 500 winners. Six kits were issued - the 1920 Monroe Special, 1922 Murphy Special, 1931 Miller Special, 1935 Gilmore Special, 1940 Maserati Racer and 1953 Fuel Injection Special. The kits were priced correctly and featured 'Super Detailed' parts (for the time). It is unknown why the line failed to sell - it may have been distribution. Best was certainly not a large player in the business. The kit features real rubber Firestone racing tires, decals and some interior detail. The kit has not been started. All parts are still in the original 'krinkle' bag. Complete with decals and instructions. | |||

1/15 #B1 Enterprise
![]() Cycle Miniatures Old High Wheeler Bicycle Exc Injection Molded old
| Very rare. Enterprise was a very successful maker of balsa wood free-flight and control line aircraft models dating well back into the 1930s. In the early 1950s modeling started to change and the Gowland/Revell 'Highway Pioneers' got the attention of Enterprise staff. Enterprise maintained it's own museum of rare and extraordinary old time bicycles, so it only seemed natural that the first (and only) two plastic kits from the company would represent bikes. This model is of the High Wheeler, based on the 'Columbia' of 1979 and is very nicely molded and detailed for the time. It includes a display base also. This model and a 'Tandem' were issued in 1954 but did not sell well; production was discontinued after a short run. The kit has never been started. All parts are still sealed in the 'krinkle' bag. The instructions are mint and contain and excellent 'History of the Bicycle' on one side and detailed, illustrated assembly instructions on the other side. | |||

Features a nicely detailed molded chassis with suspension, steering linkage and fuel tank, complete motor, spoked wheels, luggage trunk, full interior, dual side mount spare tires and a removable hood or 'bonnet'. NOTE: this kit has minor assembly. The fenders, hood and engine block halves have been assembled. Quality of assembly is well above average with a tight fit and no excess glue. There is no other assembly. Two flat clear windows are missing. All other parts are present and the instructions. I have included flat stock so you can make the two windows.
1/16 #SF-17 Cleveland
![]() Bayles' 1931 Gee Bee Racer Balsa Flying Model Airplane Kit Exc Wood old
| This is a Cleveland 'SF' or 'Scale Flying' model in museum scale of 1/16. The kit came from a long time collector of 1930s and 1940s models and is in exceptional condition. All Cleveland kits were exceptionally complete and this one is no exception. Features very high quality balsa printwood and strip wood, covering material, highest quality plans, all parts required for assembly and decals (if issued with the kit). The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. The Cleveland Model and Supply Company played a pivotal role in the development of true scale models. In 1909 Bleriot’s English Channel flight caused a surge in aviation and model aircraft around the globe. Several companies were ideally positioned to take advantage of the aviation craze. In the USA, Wading River Manufacturing Co. (1909), White Aeroplane (1911), Ideal Model Aeroplane (1911), Broadfield Model Aeroplanes (1919) were among these pioneers, offering everything from plans and parts to complete kits and ARF models. Lindbergh’s 1927 crossing of the Atlantic Ocean caused an even bigger world-wide phenomenon called “The Aviation Craze” that extended up to the start of World War II. Many companies such as Megow, Guillow's and others started right around the time of Lindbergh’s flight. Some of these models flew and flew well, but they all had one thing in common - were generally not accurate scale representations. In 1929, a youngster named Ed Packard had a very advanced dream – to produce incredibly accurate, true scale models that flew perfectly. This radical idea established the world’s longest running single-owner (77 years) model airplane supply business – Cleveland Model and Supply Company. To this day, Cleveland models are treasured as the most accurate flying scale models produced. The fact that Mr. Packard started and successfully grew this business during The Great Depression is a testament to his ideals and business skill. I highly suggest the excellent book called ‘Aviation’s great Recruiter – Cleveland’s Ed Packard’ by H.L. (Herm) Schreiner. It is an excellent history of the man, his company and the times of the Golden Age of Model Aviation. | |||
