Dornier Do-X 1929 12 Engine Flying Boat VG+++ Injection Molded old | ||
| Famous German Flying Boat built in 1929. Dornier dreamed that this huge aircraft would become a trans-oceanic airliner with passengers traveling in ocean liner-like luxury. A tour of South and North American was conducted, but orders never materialized due to excessive fuel consumption and a lack of power. Total load was 170 passengers and crew, and the 12 engines developed 7200 HP. Former Otaki molds with over 110 parts, and a 13 inch wingspan. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||

| Still factory sealed. Mold origins unknown - if you can shed some light on this, please email. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufactures and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s. | |||

TWA Airliner Gift Set - DC-3 and Super G Constellation Fair+ Injection Molded old | ||
| 1957 first and only issue of this rare Monogram Gift set. While Revell was very prolific with gift sets in the 1950s, Monogram was very restrained, issuing very few and then only once. This hardbox is intact but has water damage on one short side, and water stains on the left top (as shown) with the stains carrying down the long sides. Inside, the kit has the correct cardboard divider. The DC-3 is 1/90 scale and features optional position cabin door, rotating propellers and wheels, pilot, copilot, hostess and passenger figures and colorful TWA decals. The Super G Constellation is 1/131 scale and features two hostesses, two loading ramps, tip tanks, battery truck and full TWA decals. The Constellation decals are intact, but have water stains on the right side. The models has not been started. Both models are inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||

| First issue 'Four Star" kit dated 1960. This airplane is a civil F3F that was flown for Gulf Oil by the famous stunt pilot Al Williams. The kit has several action features: When you pull the prop outward and rotate it CCW, the landing gear retracts. Pull it outward and rotate it CW, and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal. Kit features a movable control surfaces, highly detailed cockpit, full decals including striping, sliding canopy, rigging material and instructions for rigging and is molded in clear, orange and silver. Never started. Factory bag sealed or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||

Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. Nicely molded kits are suitable for conversion to a slot car if the modeler wishes (slot car parts not included). Never started. Atomic Space Explorer Solaris (Helios) NM- Injection Molded old | ||
| 1968 reissue of the Helios kit from 1959. Rare 'near future' space model of a proposed nuclear powered lunar landing craft from 1959. The model was designed by Krafft A. Ehricke of Convair Astronautics Division, who also designed the Revell Space Shuttlecraft and some of the famous Strombecker Space kits. All phases of the flight can be recreated with the model; twisting the nose cone actually lowers the landing gear and power cables. Includes retractable landing gear, movable control surfaces, removable control capsule on first stage, gondola power cables that reel in and out, detailed living quarters with removable viewing panel, launch platform and 6 crew. Correctly molded in three colors: silver, dark blue and white. Never started. Inventoried complete with all other parts, decals and instructions present. | |||
