In the 1960s Sterling produced a line of famous and now legendary wooden Chris Craft Yacht kits. The kits were known for their scale fidelity, excellent design, strength and quality materials including mahogany woods as used in the actual boats. This is the largest one of the series - the 'Holy Grail' of the line - the 63' Motor Yacht. Specifically designed for gas or electric radio control or for a wonderfully detailed static model. Includes full size plans, instructions, drawings and photos of the full interior if you wish to model it, die-cut balsa and hardwood with inter-notched and self-locking construction, numerous die-cut African Mahogany sheets including cabin sides, windshields, aft cabin bulkhead, rear catwalk, transom and more, die-cut Gabon Mahogany decks and side catwalks, poplar motor mounts, decals and flags, reed molding, plastic for cabin windows, Venetian blind material, metal oval and round portholes, aluminum deck hatches, material for canvas skirt, marine hardware and more. This kit has never been started and is complete. No parts have been cut from the die-cut wood sheets, and the hardware bag is still factory bag sealed. Plans and instructions are excellent but have the expected paper yellow aging. The fittings set B11-F is in the original Sterling Box. The parts have never been used and is inventoried 100% complete with all parts. |
