Still factory sealed and from the late 1960s/early 1970s. This is one of a wonderful and extensive line of 1/48 car kits from Renwal. They are perfect as a stand-alone models or for use in 1/48 dioramas and O Scale train layouts. Renwal did an excellent job on engineering & detail and they feature full interior, body and chassis parts molded in the proper colors as well as clear, chrome and/or brass plated and with real rubber tires. There is no painting required. The instructions include a history of the automobile.

When Monogram acquired the Aurora molds, they only reissued the most accurate kits and usually did heavy mold modifications to bring them up to Monogram standards. In this case, the hull halves were detailed with fine, realistic panel lines and other details; the sail had any unrealistic detail removed as well as the raised outline for the numbers and where Aurora had only one periscope/sensor on the sail, Monogram correctly added two more for a total of three. It also features moving diving planes on the hull & conning tower, removable hatch revealing bulkheads and reactor detail and more. Includes a display stand. Never started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

This is the original issue of this legendary model dated 1975 with the finest mold quality and the very desirable Diorama Instructions. Highly detailed with full interior and for decades it was the finest 1/48 B-17 model ever produced. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: the Monogram decals have typical age cracking; the Microscale decals do not and look to be in 'near mint' condition.

Very rare first issue. The kit features parts for three versions - stock, custom or race. Includes detailed stock 283 small block engine, 409 CID 'W' head engine, engine stand, full stock interior, custom interior with bucket seats, custom wheel and gear shift, telephone with bracket and stuff alligator, optional stock hubcaps, mag wheels or custom bladed cap, standard tires or racing slicks, chassis with separately molded rear differential, shock absorbers, traction masters, front A arms and front lower suspension unit, detailed engine compartment with opening hood and more. Furthermore, the "Minor Stylizing" section of the instructions shows more included features such as whip antenna, spotlights, fender mirrors, three piece car show trophy, custom front and rear treatments, scoop aerials and roof scoops, horizontal tail fins, rear roll pan, nerf bars and bubble fender skirts. The more radical 'Top Chopping' and major 'Stylizing Options A and B' display how to chop the top and use the included clear lowered 'bubble top,' a wild front end extension with Lincoln-style custom headlights, extended hood and 'pancake hood' insert, wild deck body extension with custom bullets, rear grill and tail lights and more. The kit is molded in white, clear, red-tint clear, two trees of chrome parts and rubber tires. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one stock part, oil filler tube. UPC M-40 155mm Self-Propelled Gun - (ex Adams), 1/40, 2151-200

Universal Powermaster reissue of the 1957 Adams 'Action Model' that is amazingly well detailed for that time. Features rotating, elevating and recoiling gun, working track and hatches, hinged platform that opens and closes, working extension ramp, crew and much more. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bag and includes decals and instructions. This kit has a fascinating history. After Adams became disillusioned with plastic model kit production (perhaps partially due to Revell's founder), they sold most if not all of the molds to Athearn, the famous craftsman train kit manufacturer. Athearn reissued many of the kits under the SNAP name, which caused a great deal of confusion. Many thought they were snap-together kits; they couldn't have been more wrong. Athearn did a simple modification to each mold; where it would say ADAMS (usually on a part or area that did not show), they machined that away and put the SNAP logo. At some point Athearn stopped production and eventually sold the molds. However, during this time in the 1960s, UPC decided to reissue many of these kits. Evidently Athearn did the molding or a job shop did, while UPC produced their own boxes, instructions and decals. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers (many in Japan) and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Features full hull with propeller and rudder detail, Essex-class modified angled deck, two movable elevators, rotating crane, ship's boats, AA guns and directors, detailed island structure, radar and sensors, accommodation ladders, deck tug, deck crash crane, 24 aircraft (TA-4J, Buckeyes, T-28C, Cougars, Trackers, F-4B Phantoms and 2 Huey TH-1L Helicopters) and more. Includes extensive decals with all white deck stripes, deck and island numbers and many decals for the air wing. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The decals and instructions are in amazing 'near mint++' condition, but the box has a large light stain.

This kit was purchased new at "Wealdstone Model Shop 39 The Bridge, Wealdstone, Middx Phone" Harrow 5958" This is stamped on the box bottom with a very large stamp in blue, red and green ink. They advertised as selling "Model Aircraft - Ships - Cars - Diesels."

From about 1957. Rare first logo Frog kit in a small scale. Molded in silver and clear with all recessed panel lines, full decals and correct early display stand. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Frog is considered the father of injection molded model kits. The Lines Brothers opened Frog in 1932, capitalizing on the fever caused by Lindberg's solo transatlantic flight. Almost overnight the western populations became 'Air-Minded', and anything aviation was in high demand. Frog created a quality line of stick and tissue rubber powered aircraft and gliders as well as innovative ready-to-fly rubber powered aircraft that required no assembly. The box even contained a built-in rubber motor winder and fuselage holder. Model airplane flight competitions were popular in Great Britain, and one category was 'Rise Off the Ground', or ROG. By changing this to 'Flies Right Off the Ground', the FROG name was born. In 1936 Frog created a line of injection molded plastic models, the first such kit line in the world (Hawk sold a line of injection molded aircraft models in 1934 but they were factory assembled and painted). Named 'Penguin' after the bird that does not fly, the kits were innovative beyond the means of production. At a time when models were simply built by wingspan, the Penguin line was a constant 1/72 scale. Furthermore, a large 1/72 Short S.30 Empire class flying boat contained a full interior and lights! A line of accessories such as AA guns, tractors, hanger, ambulance, sound locator, searchlights and lighting kits were quickly added to the line. WWII caused a pause in production. After the war the box color changed from silver to green, and Penguin kits were also marketed in the USA. Production ended in 1950. Frog quickly expanded and released the Red, Blue, Orange, Black, Green, Gold Token, Spin and Comet series as well as Trail Blazers and several others. It is noteworthy that while most manufacturers in the 1940s/50 were making toy-like models, Frog attempted to make very realistic models. Features pre-carved hardwood hull which needs very little final sanding to complete, three sheets of printed hardwood, tapered and non-tapered mast and yard stock as required, a bag of metal and wood fittings, running and standing rigging material, full color decals (with flags), pre-carved hardwood display base, turned pedestals, mounting screws, metal name plate, ship history and instructions sheet and full size plans with detail drawings. The kit has never been started. The fittings are still in the factory sealed bag. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and plans/instructions.
