| Ideal builder as the box is only 'Good' condition. First issue of this legendary kit. 1968 model includes realistic electric 'Jet Sound'. When you open the box, the white printed cardboard display presentation is still present and excellent. There is no yellow overlay with cellophane; this was likely removed by the first owner. The instructions, B-52 Book and decals are present and in very good condition. There are two sets of decals; the originals are cracked, so there is also an identical set from a early 1970s issue. Kit does not include the glue. Contains 207 parts. Very nicely detailed. Features crew of three, detailed cockpit, elevating and traversing rear turret, opening and closing bomb bay doors, operating wing flaps, operating spoilers, optional position entry hatch and landing gear, and optional parts to display one nacelle open to show the jet engine. The Independence - War Schooner Exc++ Injection Molded old | ||
| Nicely detailed kit of a rare subject. Features full hull, complete deck detail, cannon, blocks, vac billowing sails, flags, display stand, rigging material and full rigging instructions. Kit is about 15 inches long when built. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including flags and instructions. The 'Independence' type Top Sail Schooners were built at the famous shipyards of Webb and Allen during the early 1800s. Ten clippers of this type were built for the US Government to enforce and collect revenue duties. The extreme rake of the masts with the added square sails on the top foremast made them fast and very maneuverable with a small crew. The War Schooners were very light vessels - only 73 feet long with a 20 foot beam and of 112 displacement. The bulwarks were cut out with more gun ports than guns to help lighten the ship. The armament consisted of two 9 pounders and four 6 pounders, which were shifted around the deck to fire from different gun ports and the need required. | |||

North American P-51D Mustang - 22 inch Wingspan Gas or Rubber Powered Wooden Aircraft Kit Exc Wood old | ||
| 1970s large scale issue for rubber or gas free flight, or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Box art is by Locher, who did a great deal of the Monogram box artwork also. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with all die cut parts, 'Tube-O-Matic' fuselage construction and 'Rugged Super X Simplified Non-Warping Wing' construction, colorful insignia, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, hardware, tissue and propeller. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacture of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998. | |||

| Second issue and the rarest Zero from Aurora. The first issue is the 59 cent Brooklyn, and this one is the short-term 59 cent issue from the move to West Hempstead. This box in is in Near Mint investment grade condition with as-new color and gloss. This art was only issued for one year and maybe less and with two issues - this one, 88-59 and 88-69. Molded in brilliant high gloss yellow and clear with the correct rectangular clear stand. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and correct decals and instructions. | |||

The rest of the kit is printwood, wood and metal stock and cardstock. The airwing includes F6F Hellcats and TBF Avengers. Decals, instructions and all parts are excellent.
