| Original 1950s issue with fantastic Ray Gaedke box art. In 1931, Post and Gatty flew the Vega 'Winnie Mae' around the world in 8 days, 15 hours and 8 minutes for a new world record. In 1933 Post tested a gyroscope automatic pilot and radio direction finder in another record flight lasting 7 days, 18 hours and 45 minutes. This aircraft is now in the Smithsonian Museum. Kit features moving control surfaces, cockpit, rotating prop and wheels and clear display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||

The factory paint is in 'excellent' condition with light wear. The other parts molded in light gray, wood brown and wood tan. Highly detailed large kit Measures 36 inches long when built. Has complete running and standing rigging instructions.. Includes preformed ratlines, metal chains, all rigging material and instructions, flags and decals. The kit has never been started. Studabaker M-29 C Weasel - Army Personnel and Cargo Carrier Good Multi_Media old | ||
| Rare, large 1/12 scale highly pre-fabricated kit from 1945. Very high quality wood and metal scale Weasel measuring 10.5 inches long when assembled. Features pre-cut and precarved hardwood parts for the main body and deck fittings, completely formed bogie wheels, die-cut fibre bogie chassis, numerous other very thick fibre parts, metal screen and metal stock as needed, complete interior, numerous other die cut parts, completely formed tread links, clear windshield, full decals and much more. Rogers spent a significant amount of time on the 'Photo-Plan' instructions, providing photos for each step and detailed text, full size plans and parts list. The kit has never been started. NOTE: the kit was missing 5 of 32 small wooden bogie wheels. I have put in 5 old new stock wooden wheels of the correct diameter from a 1940s aircraft kit. Inventoried with all other parts, decals and full instructions with plans. Rogers was an early producer of miniature gas engines for free-flight and early radio control model kits and often had large adds for these engines in hobby magazines. The full company name on the box is listed as 'Rogers Motor Company Detroit Michigan' and the 'Scale Model Division' is listed as Tawas City, Michigan. Right at the end of WWII, Rogers made a very short journey into kit manufacturing. As you would expect from an engine manufacture, the kits were all true scale, highly prefabricated, had excellent detail and were fairly complicated. Rogers produced at least four kits - the 40MM AA Gun and Carriage (1/16 scale), M-4 Sherman Tank, LST and Army Weasel. I have seen several of these kits built and they make excellent displays. | |||
