1967 Pyro hardbox issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of the kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes rubber tires, brass plated parts, colored injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood or 'bonnet'. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and instructions present.

It is one of the finest early ship models and is from the original 'S' kits molds; the model is a tribute to the research and skill of the mold maker. Beautiful full-hull model features 133 pieces, finely engraved planking and plate detail, rotating main turrets and elevating guns, full secondary armament of 5", 1.1" and ten 5" casemate guns, complete deck fittings with searchlights, motor launches and whaleboats, range finders, ladders, cranes, masts and observations nests, two catapults with Vought O2U Biplanes, display stand and decals for the ship.

Still factory sealed and rare in this condition. This is the 1960s Type Three logo issue with fantastic box artwork. The amazing Duck first flew in 1934, saw service all through WWII and was not phased out until the mid 1950s. This is a very nicely molded and detailed model that features markings for both aircraft, under-wing bomb load, optional position canopy, interior with crew members, lower cabin for passengers, optional position landing gear and more.
