1960s release from ex-Pyro molds. The Monitor is 10 inches long and the Merrimac is 11 inches long when built. These kits have never been started. They are both inventoried complete with all parts and instructions present. These are from the superior detail Pyro molds and are not the lower detail Lindberg releases. Monitor and Merrimac are the two American Civil war ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the St. James. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.

From quality Frog molds. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one of two tiny canopies. It has been inventoried with all other parts included and has decals and instructions. Box art is by the famous Jo Kotula who did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.

Features numerous optional parts for suspension, motor, exterior and interior as well as custom decals. Molded in white, clear and chrome with rubber tires and metal axles & body screws. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one part, a custom fastback top. Otherwise complete with all other parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: the sheet is flat and 90% intact, but 2 or 3 decals are flaking and the background paper has bug damage.

'S' issue dated 1956 and most likely the second issue of this great model; the actual kit looks as good or better than the box illustration! Revell's early ship models were remarkable. This kit is no exception and features excellent detail, full cannons and carriages on both decks, complete deck fittings, preformed ratlines, rigging thread, standing and running rigging diagrams, flag sheet and more. Molded in black and wood tan plastic. The kit has never been started. The model has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, flags, rat lines, cutting guide and instructions present. There is a closed split on one of the creases and stain on the instructions but it does not interfere with using them for assembly. The box has excellent color and gloss, and there is no tape or tape marks or price tags. The only flaws are light general wear, edge wear and two closed corner splits.

This is the 2006 reissue of the famous 1956 Guided Missile Fleet Gift Set which includes all three classic "S" kits- USS Boston CAG-1, USS Currituck (class leader Seaplane Tender) and the World's First Nuclear Submarine, Nautilus SSN-571. The original Gift Set from the 1950s did not include the seaplane tender but her converted sister ship, Norton Sound.

Original Renwal issue from the late 1950s; not a common modern reissue. The hardbox has fantastic artwork of Hawk in action shooting down a four engine bomber, which is probably a B-17 drone (like the Nike Ajax boxart). This was an excellent kit for that time featuring three removable missiles, a detailed launch trailer that elevates and rotates the missiles, complete radar trailer with rotating and tilting radar housings. There is a crew of four and full decals. Molded in white and olive drab plastic. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has typical age spotting as shown.

Still factory sealed and from the late 1960s/early 1970s. This is one of a wonderful and extensive line of 1/48 car kits from Renwal. They are perfect as a stand-alone models or for use in 1/48 dioramas and O Scale train layouts. Renwal did an excellent job on engineering & detail and they feature full interior, body and chassis parts molded in the proper colors as well as clear, chrome and/or brass plated and with real rubber tires. There is no painting required. The instructions include a history of the automobile.
