| Features optional parts for either Eastern Airlines, Western or Pan Am. Includes a very large decal sheet with full Eastern Airlines and Western. About 1/4 of the Pan Am decals (flags and wing registrations) are missing. Very well detailed kit featuring all recessed panel lines, full cockpit, pilots, internal bulkheads, cabin floor, detailed engines and more. The kit has never been started. Inventoried with all parts including partial decals (see above) and instructions. The DC-3 is directly responsible for bringing the US airlines into the modern transportation age. She pioneered regular cross-country travel and flew over 90% of the passenger miles in 1939, virtually taking over the airline business. The speed, comfort and economy of the DC-3 was responsible for doubling air traffic only two years after it went into service. | |||

| Very early issue from the 1950s with colorful Ray Gaedke hardbox artwork. The box is in investment grade 'near mint' condition with like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no tape or stickers and no tape or stickers marks. Light general wear is the only flaw. This is the second issue of this kit for the USA, with added fine rivet detail and molded in silver and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. This kit started as a basic 1/48 scale model with full landing gear, rockets and bombs. Surface detail was minimal Lindberg modified it in the mid 1950s with extensive rivet detail. in the late 1950s, they modified it again to a motorized version with the batteries in the stand and a kit electric motor in the nose. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Includes draftline and transom decals, figurehead, finely detailed hull, preformed ratlines and molded deadeyes, pin rails and blocks, full standing and running rigging instructions and diagrams, flag sheet, 35 pre-formed vac billowing sails and thread and chain for rigging. Molded in three colors. The kit has never been started. All parts originally factory sealed are still sealed in the Revell factory bags. The hull halves were never bagged and are as new.
