Rare issue from ex-Monogram molds. 1/30 scale racing sail boat with flexible sails. Can be sailed realistically or can be motorized (motor not included). Large-scale kit that was well detailed for that time. Features flexible sails, complete rigging instructions, crew of two, working rudder, anchor display base and more. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Rare, all-original promo in the original box. The box end flap is stamped for this exact model and color. The car is complete. However it is not mint. The paint is glossy but has some age spots that need cleaning; I wiped many off with a damp towel. The windshield and w/s frame is slightly crushed - one vent frame is buckled (drivers) and the passenger vent frame is missing. Chrome is age worn as well. The box is complete but only 'fair.'

Rare 1960 hardbox first issue with great John Steel artwork. This is a kit of a fantastic subject -the famous WWI sailing commerce raider of Count Felix Von Luckner. Very well detailed kit for that time. Full hull kit is molded in gray, brown and black and includes rigging thread and full rigging instructions. The kit has never been started. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes flags and instructions. The SMS Seeadler was a unique WWI raider in that it was not designed to elude the British blockade and break out to sea...it was designed to pass right through the blockade within full view of the British before attacking allied shipping around the world. No detail was overlooked in the Seeadler's preparation, right down to a Norwegian-speaking crew. The plan went perfectly - and the Seeadler passed inspection at the British Blockade. Her non-threatening appearance helped her in an active and colorful raiding career that nearly went around the world. I highly recommend reading any of several books that you can find about this ship. Von Luckner himself became quite a celebrity for his exciting exploits.
