The Stearman was the last standard biplane produced for the Army and Naval Air Forces. Production was over 10,000 planes, making if more prolific than any other US Biplane design. Kaydets help to train over 60,000 allied airmen in WWII.

The colorful aircraft combines with abrightly painted, grassy background, including a well turned out (Army) ground crewman, to produce an almost storybook, 'beautiful day in theneighborhood' atmosphere. A most attractive and, in an historical context, almost whimsical image. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'.
