Reissue from when ERTL had the AMT molds. From the original 1950s molds and features a complete trailer with fenders, fender skirts, bumper hitch and moon discs and a very nice boat kit with interior, instrument panel, underside propeller and rudder detail, complete engine, all parts for three versions and a large decal sheet. Molded in light gray, clear, chrome plate and with rubber wheel and a metal axle for the trailer. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Late 1950s hardbox is in stunning 'Excellent++' condition. Color and gloss of the Ray Gaedke artwork is as new with very light wear as the only issues. Includes markings for RAF, Swiss or Peruvian Air Forces. Absolutely loaded with operating features. Kit has removable rear fuselage, complete removable jet engine, moving rudder, elevator and ailerons, retracting landing gear, cockpit detail, ejecting pilot, loadout with drop tanks and rockets, tow bar, tractor with driver and display stand. Molded in white and clear with the yellow tow tractor. NOTE: this kit has minor and neat subassembly - the cockpit floor, control stick and instrument panel are glued to the right fuselage half. The two seat halves are assembled but not installed. Assembly is to "professional" quality. There is no other assembly. Fuselage interior is lightly painted with one cote of light green paint; there is no other painting. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Monogram clearly made some of the finest 1/24 kits for fit, finish and detail. This one is no exception. This model is the original 'Four Star' issue from 1961. It can be built as a stock, dragster, street (from the box top) or the 'Jalopy' (as shown on the side of the box). The kit has over 150 precision parts molded in chrome, gloss black, gloss tan, clear and with real rubber wheels. Kit features rolling chassis build up like the real car, full underside and interior detail, wire wheels, Ford engine, Chevy V8 engine with carbs or blower, custom exhaust, roll bars, optional top and much more. Very rare friction-drive promotional with a metal chassis. This model was obtained new on November 22, 1960 in Lexington KY by a very discriminating collector. The paint has very nice color and gloss but there are general age spots on the hood and trunk. the chrome is all intact, smooth and grades 'very good' because of a loss of luster. The model has never been played with or displayed outside the box. There is slight body warp at the middle, some damage to the windshield frame and the clear is in 'excellent' condition. I would grade this one 7 out of 10 with 10 flawless. The deduction is for thedamage to the "A" pillars (sse photo), age spots on the paint and lack of chrome luster. The box is probably original and has the correct purchase date on it, but I cannot confirm that because there is a tear on the stamped end panel. Please note this is an SMP box, which was common. AMT bought SMP and used both logos.
