Rare, highly prefabricated kit dated 1951. Designed for .09 to .29 sized gas engines. So prefabricated that it does not need plans! Features full instructions and hollow, fully carved 'Wonder Wing,' shaped and hollowed upper and lower fuselage halves, die-cut tail surfaces, pre-formed wire gear and rubber wheels, hinge material, all metal hardware, die-cut hardwood firewall, celluloid windshields and solid pre-cut wing tips. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. NOTE: decals are shown but not mentioned on the box or instructions. If there are suppose to be there, they are not present.

From the early 1950s. The prefabrication is no idle boast with this kit as it can literally be built in hours. Features completely factory carved fuselage, fully carved upper and lower wings with perfect airfoil, many die-cut plywood parts, fully finished wheels and metal gear struts, metal hardware for control line flight, large, full color decal sheet and detailed, illustrated instructions. Never started. NOTE: missing die-cut horizontal and vertical stabilizer. Easily made since they are both from sheet balsa. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present and with decals and instructions. This box is labeled "Master Modelcraft" and has an address of New York 55, NY. This is the same company as "Master Modelcraft Supply Co." located at New York 66. This is like a later issue.

Rare first issue with the 1.25 inch high pre-'S' hardbox vs. the later standard size 1.4 inch box. This kit has the correct short-lived 1st issue 2 piece stand as opposed to the later standard 4 piece stand. The early stand with this kit has a base and an arm - the arm has three prongs. This stand was discontinued shortly after introduction as it broke very easily. Inside, the kit is mint. The small parts still sealed in factory cello bag. Never started. Still factory sealed. Ideal builder. Some molds have a colorful history; this one is no exception. At one point, Monogram leased or sold a set of Corsair molds (from the original 4 Star action kit) to Idea in Korea. Idea copied the molds, modifying them with a tab on each tree with the Idea name. Hobby Craft's kit is the Idea copy of the Monogram Corsair (right down to the blue and black parts) with the Idea tab. On the outside of many Hobby Craft boxes it says 'Make in South Korea' - obviously Idea is one of the agents who molded kits for HC. 'Working Action Model' with many features; wings fold, landing gear and tail wheel retract and all gear doors close, working arresting gear and rotating wheels and prop. Under-wing stores feature missiles, bombs and drop tanks. Includes decals for Marine version.
