Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality balsa printwood, quality stripwood and spars, balsa stock as required, fully formed wood main and tail wheels, rubber motor, plastic prop and scale three-blade wooden prop, wood thrust button, clear canopy material, template & details cardstock sheet, insignia sheet, dark blue covering tissue and detailed full size plans with building instructions. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with all die cut parts, 'Tube-O-Matic' fuselage construction and 'Rugged Super X Simplified Non-Warping Wing' construction, a very large and colorful insignia sheet, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, hardware, tissue and propeller. Very limited reissue from ex-ITC molds. Large scale model of the one of the most famous light planes of all time. Includes a large decal sheet with the Staggerwing logo and stripes in black, red, blue and white, along with enough "N" number in large and small sizes for almost any aircraft - also in black, red, blue and white. In addition there are US Stars and Bars for the WWII Military version. Molded in yellow and clear. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one flat side window and one wing strut. I have included thick clear stock to make a new side window, and the other strut is present. The two struts are identical, so you can cast it or use it as a pattern to make a new one from flat plastic sheet stock. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present. Please note that when the molds were modified for this static version, the 'switch hole' in the fuselage was neatly closed up and part #6 (ADF antenna) was eliminated.

From quality ex-Frog molds. Large-scale kit with over 170 parts. The original Frog kit was issued as kit #347P in 1961 and was well detailed for that time. Features a full set of railings, deck fittings, oil bunker hatch covers, pipes, color decals and flag sheet. The kit has never been started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing 2 very small cleats, 2 life rings, 2 prop blades and the prop hub. Otherwise includes all other parts with 'excellent+' condition decals & flags and very good instructions. The original Shell Welder was built in 1955 by Celland Ship Building Company for Shell-Mex & BP Marketing. She had a displacement of 1042 tons and carried a cargo of 550 tons of petroleum in four tanks. The main engines are six cylinder diesels of 570 BHP at 400 rpm. She was still afloat in 1989 and had been converted to a motor dredger/sand carrier with Northwood (Fareham Ltd) of London.
