Auster 6 Antarctic - 2nd Logo Issue - Bagged Sealed Good Injection Molded old | ||
| Still factory staple sealed. 1950s issue bagged kit with header. Can be built with wheels, skis or floats. The Auster 6 Antarctic was a specially modified aircraft supplied to the Antarctic expedition. It has additional fuel capacity and more elaborate radio and DF equipment. The Auster was first introduced during WWII as an artillery observation and liaison aircraft. Since that time it was progressively developed for both military and civil use. The ability for short field operation and use with wheels, skis or floats made it very popular at the time. | |||

HMS Victory - Lord Nelson's Flagship Fair Injection Molded new | ||
| NOTE: builder kit only, please read below. 1970s type 4 logo kit. Very nicely molded and detailed kit with over 300 parts. Full hull kit contains complete deck fittings, preformed scale ratlines, vacuform billowing sails, flag sheet, rigging instructions and more. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing 3 short hull-mounted cannon barrels and one gun port. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, flag sheets, rat lines and instructions. NOTE: one hull is cracked and will need to be repaired. The two sides fit together very neatly so the repair is straight-forward. The Victory was started in 1759 and launched in 1765 for the Royal Navy. She gained fame as the flagship for Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar. The HMS Victory is the oldest naval ship still in commission, and is a museum ship in drydock at Portsmouth, United Kingdom. | |||

| Very high quality kit with legendary LS attention to detail. The kit is engineered for two electric motors - all hardware is included but LS did not issue the kit with the motors. The batteries are held in a very clever 1/72 scale fuel truck. Features all fine recessed panel lines, excellent cockpit and crew station detail with crew, rotating turret with elevating gun, working bomb bay doors, full bomb load, ground bomb cart, working crew entry door, moving wing flaps and ailerons, rotating wheels and propellers, ground crew, wheel chocks and more. Includes beautiful full color painting and marking guide for 8 aircraft, color cut away for more interior detail and decals for many aircraft. The model as never been started. The parts are still in the factory sealed bags with decals and instructions. Some of the LS molds are still in use by Hasegawa as testament to the their detail and accuracy. | |||

Ki-109 Army Experimental Intercepter Fighter Clear Fuselage/Cowlings Motorized Good Injection Molded old | ||
| Very high quality model with legendary LS detail and moldings. Great kit with a host of unique features. Model comes with solid and clear fuselage halves and engine cowls so you can, if you choose, view the detailed interior and engine compartments. A detailed cut-away lithograph is included showing additional details if you wish to add them. The kit features all fine, recessed panel lines, working wing flaps and ailerons, detailed cockpit and more. The model has provisions to be motorized so both props turn. A ground fuel truck holds the batteries! Includes ground figures. The model as never been started. The parts are either still in the factory sealed bag with decals and instructions. The Ki-109 was based on the Hiryu (Peggy) design as a high altitude interceptor against B-29s. A large cannon was placed in the nose and it had it's own operator stationed below the cockpit. | |||

| Builder kit only - please read carefully. Classic large 13.5 inch wingspan kit. Made of solid Western Pine - not balsa. Builds up to an impressive display model. Kit includes fuselage, wings, elevators, rudder and nacelles all cut to shape, Casein Glue mix, sandpaper, and a parts bag with completely formed propellers. Large full color Pan Am decal sheet. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing stand wire. Stand base is included. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. NOTE: box is complete but heavily stained, especially the left short side. Decals are intact but water damaged; please see the article on this website about saving old decals. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacture. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - usually only sanding would finish them. | |||

Douglas DC-7C BOAC Good+ Injection Molded old | ||
| Very rare. 1950s two piece hardbox issue. Very close to 1/100 scale and still the largest injection molded DC-7 kit. Nicely molded with very fine raised panel line detail and recessed control surfaces and doors. The box has great color, four solid corners, no price tags and the only tape is the remains of the factory sealing tape. The box has a pencil point closed hole and a 1.5 inch closed tear on the upper long side panel. There is general shelf wear and light stains which are visible on the box top. Inside, the special cardboard side housing is still held in place with the original staples and contains an unopened tube of colorful Frog cement and a glass vial of white paint with the factory cork. The paint and glue are still good. The decals have not rolled and are in 'very good' condition. The instructions are excellent with light yellowing and have no tears or writing. The kit is molded in the correct gloss silver and clear plastic with a large dark blue stand. The kit has never been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts, decals, instructions, glue and paint. The propellers are on the original cardboard holder and the blades are not broken. Shipping insurance is required on this model. | |||

Vickers Viscount 800 - BEA - With Original Glue / Paint / BEA Viscount Brochure VG++ Injection Molded old | ||
| Rare kit in very good condition. This kit is unusual in that is complete with a sealed tube of 'Frog Polystyrene Cement' and the factory glass vial of white paint with it's cork seal. The paint and glue are both still good. The BEA 'Flying In A New Age...With BEA by Viscount' brochure is near mint. This is an exceptional full color fold-out which includes reproductions of 9 full color paintings including a detailed Viscount cut-away. There is plenty of text about BEA and the aircraft, as well as a flight log. The box is the early thick cardboard version with four solid corners and the original price tag on the right short side. The sides have the factory tape marks on the sides and bottom where they sealed it originally. There are two additional pieces of clear tape near the factory ones and one short tape tear on the upper long side. Inside the kit is molded in the correct clear and silver with the large display stand. Decals and instructions are excellent. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts including decals and instructions. | |||

There is a 1 inch area of glue damage to the instructions at a 1" spot at the upper right, right center and lower right. The instructions are still completely usable. The box is is complete but has wear and discoloration as shown, as well as a short closed tear on the right short side. | |||
