Large scale model featuring excellent full engine (a small kit in itself), rubber or plastic tires, rigging material and excellent Scale-Master decals. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Jimmy Doolittle piloted this aircraft to win the Bendix Coast-to-Coast Race in 1933, and set a new transcontinental speed record also. In the 1931 Cleveland National Air Races, Doolittle looked unbeatable in the Super Solution, but engine trouble forced him out and the Granville Brothers Gee Bee Z was the winner.

Small scale Lola racer molded in blue, white, chrome plate and with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The true mold origins of this kit are unknown. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Dated 1982 and of all of the Lindberg Sabre Dog issues, this is the only motorized (with Jet Sound) version. Most motorized Lindberg aircraft began life with late 1950s issues; this one one is a reversal of that policy, coming very late indeed. It features the two "D" cell Lindberg stand for other motorized kits (like the F-104), electric motor kit, all hardware, optional lowered rocket tray, wing drop tanks and rockets, pilot figure and optional position canopy. Molded in silver/gray and clear. Never started. Inventoried with all plastic parts and instructions present. NOTE: missing decals. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. SALE!! Includes all 7 kits in the boxes shown. NOTE: Sold AS-IS and not inventoried. This collector was very meticulous and of his kits that I did inventory, 95% are complete. But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor sub assemblies (cockpit tubs, wing halves, etc) to "professional" quality. He also almost always removed the displays stands (if provided). Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price.

Rare. From the early to mid 1970s. Big scale model is designed for R/C operation, gas .020 or .049 control line/free flight and rubber powered- or even as a detailed static display model. Box art is by Locher, who did a great deal of the Monogram box artwork also. This is a very nice and well detailed model featuring 'Tube-O-Matic' fuselage construction, 'Rugged Super X Simplified Non-Warping Wing' light-weight plastic nose cowl, spinners, wheel pants, gear strut covers, interior seat backs, pilot bust and more, beautiful clear vacuformed front windshield and side windows (in great condition, not yellowed), completely formed metal gear struts, finished wheels and nose button, plywood firewall, all die-cut balsawood, factory-cut stripwood and leading & trailing wing edges, covering tissue, very colorful and comprehensive insignia sheet, detailed full size plans with building instructions and more. The model has not been started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag. The parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

This kit has no assembly but NOTE: the hull is painted copper below the waterline. It is one coat and easily painted over or could be stripped with DOT3 brake fluid, spray oven cleaner or any other safe, tested plastic paint stripper. There is no other painting. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals, flag sheet and instructions. NOTE: several stanchions have broken off but are present. They are in a zip lock bag so they will not be lost.
