This is one of those kits; as a result, it is well detailed and to scale. | Still sealed with the factory tape on both long ends. 1960s Aurora of Great Britain issue with brilliant box art. Kit contains large 1/8 scale knight, base, plume and instructions. In the mid 1950s, Aurora bought three 'Knight' molds from Crown Plastics and issued them as K1, K2 and K3. These were the very first Aurora figure kits and they sported the 1956-only rectangular 'Northern Lights' logo with the correct 'Crown Line' logo inside it. The sales success of the Knight prompted Aurora to launch an entire line of figure kits. The knights themselves stayed in production long after many other figures were discontinued.

1/81 #285-39 Aurora
![]() Aero Commander Exc+ Injection Molded old
| Second Aurora release (39 cent price extension) from ex-Comet molds. Dated 1963 but likely from the mid 1960s. Nicely molded kit with all recessed details, clear cabin and cockpit windows and display stand. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The Aero Commander was a state-of-the-art twin engine light transport from the early 1960s. It was built by Aero Design and Engineering Co. of Bethany, Oklahoma. It was the first twin engine aircraft to be used by the President of the United States and served in this capacity in the early 1960s. This high performance 5 to 7 place was popular with business travelers and had a range of 1,050 miles and a ceiling of 22,000 feet. The Aero Commander led to the Jet Commander, which became the IAI 1121 through 1124 Westwind business jets. Aero Commanders can still be seen at some airports in excellent condition, but many are neglected as newer aircraft are in favor. | |||
1/25 #828-300 Aurora
![]() Chitty Chitty Bang Bang Sealed Mint Injection Molded old
| Still factory sealed and in investment-grade condition. Very rare kit issued in 1968 and never again. The box itself is mint with as-new color and no crushing or creases. The factory seal is still completely sealed. The only flaw is a price-tag size area missing the clear. This obviously happened when someone tried to remove the price tag. There are no other flaws in the seal. This kit must be shipped insured. | |||
1/62 #283-50 Aurora
![]() Cessna 310 NM++ Injection Molded old
| 1963 issue from ex-Comet molds. The box is in stunning 'Near Mint++' investment-grade condition with amazing color and gloss. Neatly molded with all recessed panel lines, clear side and front windows, tip tanks, rotating propellers, display stand and full pinstripe decals. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Aurora had started a line of inexpensive 29 cent kits in about 1957. The line was a success, and it was expanded. The line grew again when Aurora purchased the Comet molds, as most of Comet's line was very small scale kits, many of them civil aircraft like this one. It appears that Aurora was encouraged by the sale of the ex-Comet civil aircraft, as it expanded the line with it's own molds in the early 1960s. | |||
