	Competition Models Inc Sal Taibi's Starduster - Gas Powered Free Flight Model VG++ Wood old			$75
	Large wingspan kit for .02 to .074 engines. This is one of the famous Sal Taibi's National award winning designs. Sal was one of the early 'Kings of Gas Free flight' and a very gifted designer. The model is from the 1950s. This model came from the estate of a very active and particular early aircraft kit collector. It is like factory-new inside and has not been started. Complete with all parts, plans and decals (if originally included). Designed for 'Sniffing Thermals', the honored pastime of a generation of model enthusiasts. Flying model aircraft predated powered flight; however, balsa wood and printwood were not introduced until the early 1930s and the hobby took off, as well as the hunt for thermals. Gas flight began in the early 1930s, and powered models (most all driven by Brown engines) took home so many awards that they were forever separated in competition from rubber powered models. Design of gas models was tricky since RC (radio control) models could not yet be applied to the mass market; so a gas model had to not only fly and climb under power, but then glide sufficiently - all in a stable fashion and without any operator inputs once the airplane took off.

	This is a reproduction of a classic design and is 1/3 the size of the original. It includes full size plans, pre-cut parts and is authentically scaled from the original design. 	1/72 #G-5 Maircraft Taylorcraft - 'Little Gems' Series Scale Solid Wooden Aircraft Kit NM+ Wood_Metal old			$42
	These kits are good candidates for the first line of 1/72 model aircraft produced in the USA. Although not as old as the Frog injection molded 1/72 scale kits, these solid wood and metal models were made in the late 1930s or 1940s to 1/6 inch scale - which is commonly known today as exactly 1/72 scale. Maircraft announced kits G-1 through G-6 with 'more to come', but it is likely that no others were produced as Maircraft was out of business by 1948. The highpoint of the Little Gems series was the plans and instructions. Wonderfully illustrated and written, they show step by step how to carve and contour the model and how to finish it. Includes excellent three view full size drawings and templates. The kit consists of balsa wood with printed outlines for all parts and a metal parts sheet with wheels and propeller. This kit has never been started and is complete with all parts and plans/instructions. 	1/48 #S22 Maircraft Fokker D-VIII Flying Razor Solid Wood Model Airplane Good++ Wood old			$32
	Maircraft was originally founded in the early or mid 1930s by Gordon Christoph and went by the name Aircraft Model Company. The company produced a typical line of solid 'profile cut' kits that required the usual high talent levels for carving and finishing. A former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman, Jack Mair, bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. This company was one of the handful of solid kit producers who issued models in a consistent 1/48 scale during the 1930s and 1940s (others included Hawk and Dyna-Model). This lead to one of the most desirable and rare model kits ever produced in the USA - the wood/plastic 1/48 United DC-3 model issued immediately after World War 2. Other than the P-61 and a few other Maircraft offerings, most were simple kits that sold for the low price of about 35 cents and gave the owners many hours of pleasurable work. This kit features a full size plan with instructions steps, fuselage that is about 80% cut, profile cut parts, printwood and a small bag of details. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

	1/19 #308 Guillows Beechcraft Musketeer - 20 inch Wingspan Flying Balsawood Model Airplane Exc+ Wood old			$38
	Very high quality stick-and-tissue flying model kit from the late 1950s/early 1960s. This is a high quality kit in 1/16 scale and a 24 inch wingspan. Kit includes a very large and colorful decal sheet with all stripes as shown on the box art, die-cut balsa wood, plastic prop, wood wheels, clear canopy and vac details as required. The full size plans are excellent and contain a significant amount of building instruction and guidance as well. This kit has not been started. The parts are either still in the factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

	#5303-98 Comet Curtiss Robin - 22 inch Wingspan Balsa Flying Model Airplane Exc+ Wood old			$39
	There are two versions of the Robin from Comet from this time period (1960s/70s) - this is the one with the larger 22 inch wingspan. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, building instructions, hardware, wheels and canopy material (if required), tissue, rubber and propeller. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacture of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

	1/64 #2284 Ace Whitman De Havilland Venom Fighter- Balsa Model Airplane Kit VG Wood old			$32
	The 'Ace Whitman' name was used by Joe Ott for some of his marketed kits. This model is a solid display model from 1952 and features an 80% precarved fuselage, die cut parts, full size plans and a stapled bag of detail parts (probably wheels). The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

	#G-44 Strombecker North American F-86F Sabre Jet Woodline Issue VG Wood_Plastic old			$85
	Strombecker was famous for this line of precarved hardwood and plastic kits. All parts are made to shape, including the fuselage, which made these kits easy to assembly and finish. This kit also includes a clear injection molded canopy, wooden base, wire support, color decals, glue and sandpaper and a stand. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. Never started. 100% complete with all parts and plans. The decals have been neatly cut but are complete.

	#RC-1 Jetco Fairchild PT-19 - 72 inch Wingspan .15-.35 Engine RC Airplane Exc++ Wood_Plastic old			$385
	Very large 1/6 scale model. Designed by Chuck Hollinger. Feature three full size plans sheets, 28 die cut balsa and plywood sheets, 20 feet of sheeting, 214 feet of strip wood, 6 large decal sheets, formed landing gear and wire parts, detachable wing panels, steerable tail wheel, die cut windshields, shaped and hollowed upper and lower cowls and more. Total weight is 6 lbs, making this an ideal conversion to electric power. This kit has not been started. True scale model down to the rib spacing with the exception of the stabilizer, which is 30% bigger in area than the actual aircraft. 	Maircraft Buzzard Bombshell - 69 inch Wingspan Class C Gas Free Flight Airplane Exc Wood old			$165
	The fantastic Buzzard Bombshell was a record setting aircraft in the very late 1930s/early 1940s. The plane won the AMA National Class C Open in 1940 with a flight of 49 min and 50 seconds.
