Revell 1917 Ford Model T Pull-Toy with Backfire Action Poor Injection Molded old | ||
| For the advanced Revell collector. Revell was a toy maker long before they teamed with Gowland & Gowland for the first Highway Pioneers series that revolutionized the hobby of mainstream model building. Revell's associated with Gowland went back to the pure toy days before injection molded models. One such creation in 1950 was a large scale 1/16 Maxwell automobile. The toy was a huge success. Then the Highway Pioneers took off...but Revell was not ready to give up on toys yet. In 1952 they issued a 1/16 scale counterpart to the Maxwell- this 1917 Model T Ford. It has a very unique features - when you pull the tow cord, it backfires! On the bottom is a cap gun style mechanism and the 'bang!' is made by real gunpowder from caps. The Ford is in perfect condition. There are no cracks, warps, missing parts or scratched paint. it is a little dirty, however. On the underside, the cap mechanism is as new and works flawlessly. The box is poor - it is tattered and missing the top. The instructions on both sides for the cap loading are still legible. | |||

| Rare first issue with the 1.25 inch high pre-'S' hardbox vs. the later standard size 1.4 inch box. This kit has the correct short-lived 1st issue 2 piece stand as opposed to the later standard 4 piece stand. The early stand with this kit has a base and an arm - the arm has three prongs. This stand was discontinued shortly after introduction as it broke very easily. Inside, the kit is mint. The small parts still sealed in factory cello bag. Never started. Fairey Rotodyne Cutaway Model with Full Interior VG+++ Injection Molded old | ||
| Very rare. Unique and highly detailed model in near 1/72 scale of this vertical take-off and landing transport airplane. The first prototype flew in November 1957 and appeared at the Farnborough Air Show three years later. The Rotodyne could carry 60 civil passengers 0r 70 fully equipped troops as well as cargo. Cruising speed was 175 kts and maximum range was 610 nm. Kit features cut away design - a large fuselage panel can be removed to show off the complete interior with passenger seats, passengers, pilots, stewardess, baggage compartment (complete down to the suitcases), bathroom with toilet and cargo compartment including boxes, tire, carpet and barrel. Another panel comes off at the support for the rotor to reveal internal aircraft structure and the rotor power transmission. Also includes complete cockpit, working boarding door and stairs, working rear clam-shell cargo doors, operating rudder and elevators and rotating wheels, props and main rotor. The model has not been started. The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. | |||

USS Missouri Narrow Box Pre 'S' Kit Exc Injection Molded old | ||
| First release 1953 hardbox pre 'S' kit. This is the first ship that Revell cut the molds for. Earlier Revell ship releases were Ex-Gowland and Gowland molds for the small scale sailing ship series. The box is graded Excellent and it is one of the better (not the best but close) I have seen, with excellent color. There is some edge wear and clear tape neatly applied to one corner. Inside the kit is 100% correct. The plastic is the high gloss medium gray. The instructions are the correct 'large' release for the first issue. Never started. 100% inventoried complete with all parts, flag sheet and instructions present. | |||

| One of the first three Revell aircraft molds issued in 1953. This kit is correct with no rivets and no landing gear. Instructions are printed on the back of the box. Complete with the unique stand that was only issued with these three kits and the gift set of these kits. This box is in excellent condition, complete with all end flaps and has not been crushed - usually these thin one-piece boxes are in very bad condition. Box has never been repaired.
