Monogram The Black Knight - (ex-Aurora), 1/8, 85-6523

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$38

Ideal builder kit. 2010 reissue from the original 1950s Aurora molds (originally obtained from Crown). Monogram/Revell did not include the white feather plume, but I have included one from my spares box so you can build it realistically. This kit is the same scale as the other Aurora Knights. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. In the mid 1950s, Aurora bought three 'Knight' molds from Crown Plastics and issued them as K1, K2 and K3. These were the very first Aurora figure kits and they sported the 1956-only rectangular 'Northern Lights' logo with the correct 'Crown Line' logo inside it. The sales success of the Knight prompted Aurora to launch an entire line of figure kits. The knights themselves stayed in production long after many other figures were discontinued. When Aurora went out of business in 1976, they sold the molds to Monogram. However, Monogram did not release the Knights until well after Revell and Monogram merged.

$38

Ideal builder kit. 2010 reissue from the original 1963 Aurora molds.

Monogram Phantom Huey UH-1B Chopper Motorized with Sound, 1/24, PA226

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$850

Rare. Dated 1969. Large and completely transparent with a 20 inch long fuselage and nearly 2 foot rotor diameter. Well detailed with 184 parts and full internal detail. Features complete cockpit, pilot and co-pilot figures, full cabin, opening cabin door, inner fuselage framing, detailed engine and more. The electric motor (in the display base with the batteries) turns main and tail rotors. Sound unit makes "chop-chop" sound that varies correctly with main rotor speed. To minimize painting, the kit is molded in clear, zinc chromate green, black, chrome plate, gray, olive drab and flexible black (ammo belts). The clear fuselage halves have no breaks or cracks, they are mint. The motor, battery contacts and hardware are still in the factory sealed bag. The other parts were never in sealed bags and have been inventoried complete, including decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the original decals have some damage and bug damaged; so I have included Ed Bisconti's superb reproduction decals that include three sheets; one clear, one white background and one with additional markings. These boxes were thin, fragile and easily damaged. This one is no exception. It does have the typical wear as shown, a small hole below 'Sound!' and several closed splits have been correctly and neatly repaired from the inside. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Monogram Boeing 737 United Airlines (T-43A) - (Ex-Aurora) (Modified Molds), 1/72, 5415

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed VG++

$149

Sale Pending
Email for availability.

Still factory sealed. Still the only 1/72 injection molded 737. 1978 issue after Monogram bought Aurora's molds. Monogram only reissued the best and most commercially viable models. The 737 fell into that category but only after Monogram carefully modified the molds for accuracy. The result is an excellent early 737-100. First, Monogram filled in the side windows. Then they added very fine and accurate full panel lines on the entire model and also added flap hinge covers (fairings) to the lower wings. Contains greatly improved, full, excellent United Airlines markings and window decals. Could be converted to Military Transport T-43A, but you must furnish your own decals.
