In 1965 the ABC network came out with a TV series called 'My Mother the Car', in which a man's mother came back to life as a 1928 Porter. To capitalize on the TV marketing, AMT was allowed to produce and market this '1928 Porter' model. The TV series only lasted one season, which eliminated future sale for AMT. The molds were quickly put aside and forgotten. However, decades later, the modeling collectors ended up with a very rare kit and one that is highly detailed as well. It features a rolling chassis build up just like the real car, detailed engine, realistic layered spoked wire wheels, detailed front and rear suspension and rear differential, gas tank, rear trunk, removable hood, side-mounted spare, convertible top and even the dash-mounted radio that 'Mother' talked through. Molded in red, clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts, the original special paints (black and white; never opened) & brush and includes decals and instructions, which are both in 'near mint' condition. There is one tire burn on the windshield, which is fortunately made from flat clear plastic if you wish to replace it.
