Excellent stain-free box with brilliant color and gloss. There are no tape or price tags or similar marks. This Norton Sound was originally a seaplane tender and was converted to an ocean-going laboratory for development and testing of guided missiles and rockets. This ship was key in the Navy's move into the guided missile age. Model features working cranes, operating launching platform for the Viking missile, Terrier with launcher, Jeeps and Lark missile. Inside, the kit as if left the factory. I has never been started. All small parts are still factory bag sealed.
