Museum quality craftsman kit. Features hardwood, kiln-dried, precarved hull, extensive high quality cast Britannia fittings, photo-etched details and other hardwood and metal parts as required. Includes very detailed full size plans and instructions. This issue is from the late 1980s or early 1990s. The kit has never been started. The parts that were never factory sealed (hull, wood and metal stock) have been inventoried complete. All of the fittings are still in factory sealed bags in the factory box. Includes plans and instructions. T-2 Tankers were 'National Defense Ships' and about 500 were built in response to war needs and attrition due to U-Boat operations in the Atlantic and off the coast of the USA. Many of them remained in service for decades after the war.
