1/72 F238 Frog HS Buccaneer S.Mk 2A / S.Mk 50 - RAF No. 12 Sq Honington 1970 or South African SAAF No. 24 Sq Waterkloof 1970

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Typical high quality Frog kit with no rivets and fine panel lines for a realistic model. Features steering nose strut, four anti-ship missiles on wing pylons and optional position landing gear. Has decals for both Air Forces. Kit features opening unique rotating bomb bay, folding wings and working arresting hook. Never started. NOTE: missing display stand. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions. The Buccaneer was the world's first purpose designed low level 'below the radar' bomber. Low level strike aircraft have a shorter airframe life limit due to the stresses of low level flying, so the Buccaneer was designed to be very strong and even had many sub-assemblies milled from solid metal.
