Pyro Gertrude L Thebaud Fishing Schooner, 206-298 plastic model kit

206-298 Pyro Gertrude L Thebaud Fishing Schooner

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Rare early issue from Pyro, likely from the very late 1950s/early 1960s. Very good model of the famous fishing schooner that was built by Louis G. Thebaud and christened by his wife Gertrude. After being initially defeated by the Blunose, the Thebaud won the Sir Thomas Lipton Trophy in 1930 in a hard-fought contest with her rival. The contest is still disputed to this day. Nicely detailed for that time and measures 20 inches long when built. Features 125 parts, full hull with display stand, deck fittings, rigging material and full rigging instructions. Molded in black and wood tan. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
