Hard-to-find 1967 issue with John Steel artwork. This is an excellent effort by Aurora to compete in a more advanced mid-1960s model market. Features a full hull which measures about 11.5 inches long when assembled, intricate wooden board and grain engraving on the hull & deck, separately molded fife rails, cannons, capstans & long boat, one piece molded ratlines, separately molded deadeye assembles, whaleboats and davits, detailed fore, main and mizzen mast, thin, injection molded white billowing sails and more. Includes a very nice display stand with name plaque and rigging diagrams. Molded in dark wood brown and off-white/ivory plastic. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes color flag sheet and instructions. The scale of 1/260 is approximate.
