Very early issue from the 1950s with colorful Ray Gaedke hardbox artwork. This is the third issue of this kit for the USA, with added fine rivet detail and molded in silver and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. This kit started life as a basic 1/48 scale model with minimal surface detail, full landing gear, rockets and bombs. Lindberg modified it in the mid 1950s with very fine rivet detail. In the late 1950s it was modified again to a motorized version with an electric motor in the nose and the batteries in the stand.
