Rare early issue from the 1950s with fantastic Ray Gaedke artwork. The Convair VTO was a Navy program for a high performance zero-length take off fighter. The aircraft flew well but transition from vertical/horizontal and back was tricky. This, combined with the performance of the new jets signaled the end of the program in 1955. Comes with boarding ladder. Molded in the correct high gloss silver and clear. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
